To be precise, I think Nana can forgive Hachi anywhere, as far as she's not on the enemy side. And it may relate to be her unfortunate distortion caused by her upbringing. I’ve been waiting for this episode lol. I feel this episode is where we start looking at the characters deeper and they become even more complex. Nana O’s stair piercing at Nobu was great and it made me wonder when I first read the manga, What will happen between the NANA’s

Yes like other people explained a bit already, the whole garden comment thing was about Nana using Nobu to keep Hachi close to her. Since Nana and Nobu are close to each other, Hachi dating Nobu will kind of "lock" Hachi in stronger in that friendship circle. If she were to date Takumi and become closer to him, Hachi would eventually more or less drift away from Nana since they have nothing to do with Takumi. In Nana's mind, letting Hachi date Takumi is a danger to their friendship and she is scared that someone will indirectly take Hachi away from her. This scene was actually so interesting for building Nana's character, since it shows a glimpse of her being selfish. Like instead of prioritizing Hachi feeling happy wheter she dates Nobu or Takumi, she wants Hachi to date Nobu because she wants to keep Hachi close to her.

I'm glad you made a comment about that "'love means different things to different people". I hope you extend that understanding to Takumi in the future. 😄 RoseRo already explained it but the "garden" thing was basically saying she didn't like Hachi wandering off outside her life (to Takumi). If Hachi is with Nobu, she can keep tabs on her every move.

I really enjoy this episode every time i watch it. I just wish that Hachi and Nobu lives happily ever after haha! They are perfect for each other! Also, not related to the anime, but you really have a beautiful skin. I keep thinking that every time i watch your videos haha! What Nana meant about her talk with Nobu is that she wants to keep Hachi in her circle through Nobu. Like if you get a 2º cat (Nobu) for your 1º cat (the one you truly like, Hachi) to prevent the 1º cat from running away to find a stray cat (someone who doesnt belong in Nana's circle). This made me see Nana in a whole another light, like the mastermind from the shadows.

It’s very emotional episode (as always) . I love Nana’s that ‘Oh my’ expression :)) It can be felt in variety of ways, isn’t it? Hachi’s e-mail said (very simple thing, just as you would expect!): 「話したい事があるので時間のある時に電話してもらえますか? 忙しいのにごめんなさい 奈々」→ ‘I have something that I’d like to talk to you about, so could you please call me when you have time? I’m sorry to bother you even though you are busy. NANA.’

We never got to see the exact incident that makes the 2 Nanas separate(if it ever was just a singular reason). Theories as to why though are abundant.

I think the meaning of hachi asking nana stuff like: is that how you feel when Ren holds you in his arms and stuff like that, is more like, she sees nana and ren as a beautiful relationship, they truly love each other. So she wants to know if how shel feels right now is how you're supposed to feel when you truly love someone and someone truly loves you. Because she is longing for that. As to, is there more to both nana's relationship... You gotta understand that this manga got out in 2006, so it wasn't as open to homosexuality as is it now. That's all i'm gonna say. As for how Ren treats nana regarding certain comments he makes and stuff like that. This is japan and Japan has a very patriarchal society. So, maybe this kind of attitude is more common for japanese men, than it is for americans. Japanese girls often say that they envy how foreigners threat their girlfriends compare to how japanese men treat them. And finally, in japan they have onsen, it's like a spa, but instead of getting there in bathing suits, you go their naked. Women with women and men with men. So, it is quite normal for them to take bath naked with other people of the same sex. I hope this clarifies certain questions that you have regarding weird behaviours haha! ;)

7:50 I'd say that it's not that the *show* is playing it off as a joke, it's that *Shin* is himself. It makes always makes the other characters uncomfortable, and i think he deliberately incites that reaction as a coping mechanism, maybe a form of projection or something. and yeah, it's not just you, Shin's circumstances are really quite sad

i've read the manga before, but watching these videos of yours is the first time i've seen the anime. There's a lot of changes to the dialogue between the manga and anime. In the manga version of the scene at 17:21, the back and forth is like this: Nana: "Stop it! What the hell? I didn't come here to make out with you!" Ren: "I missed you so much..." *pause* Nana: "What am I doing..." *hugs him back*

Sometimes you gotta take Takumi at his word; he really is a workaholic and having Reira encumbered enough to stay at a hotel without notice would be a problem for the band.

For over a decade Russell Crowe couldn’t make a bad film. He’s an incredible actor (my favorite). I encourage you to watch L.A. Confidential (1997), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Master and Commander (2003), Cinderella Man (2005),….. there are too many to list them all.

what you said is true; Hachi genuinely has nothing going on for her at this moment and shes also incredibly lonely so yes it is quite easy for someone like her to lean onto someone they idolized before (takumi) and at the end of the day all she really wanted was to feel needed if not loved. Unfortunately for us Takumi is a prime manipulator 😔😔😔

The reason why Hachi smiles at the text in the taxi is because of the “suites are firsts and lasts” so this regular room assures her that this relationship will continue beyond this night. For how slimy Takumi may be, he is equally smooth. Good job on resisting the urge to view how other people talk about the series so far. I think all your relationship questions have yet to be answered so far, especially from the Trapnest side of things, but I wouldn’t blame you if you did since the drama is spicy so far.
