I just ordered one a sport trim supposed to built and delivered in January.

We bought two new Imprezas. One is a 2018 base trim hatchback. The other is a 2022 premium trim sedan. Stay away from the base model. It comes with steel wheels and wheel covers. We lost a total of 13 wheel covers, before we broke down and purchased after market wheels. The hatchback is well worth the 500 bucks over the cost of the sedan. The biggest complaint when it comes to the Impreza, is it needs more power. I wish that Subaru would at least offer the 2.5 engine. It virtually gets the same mpg as the 2.0. But the 2.5 gives. 30 more horse power. We also bought a new 2020 premium trim Forester. It sports the 2.5 engine. And it is adequate

Gas mileage sucks on these things. Says 27mpg in city, but it’s more like 23,m

Oh my gosh, this is not a pretend darren really love cars with a passion. From toddler until now and his favourite car is subaru imp. His mouth was the engine ,he has paintings of subaru from his first year in high school his dream becomes a reality, proud of you son.

Slight problem - not quite sure how much trust I would put in a dealership that is stating this is a 2020 model when it truly isn't (guys - 2020 has nearly a 12" vertical screen...this is what - a 2019?)

The goal for my 2017 Subaru Forester is to make MirrorLink work so that I can have apps that I actually use available. Starlink is not what I want. The Mirrorlink is greyed out in Apps. I saw that a young lady posted a TH-cam for a Samsung 6 and her's works. I have a Samsung 8, which could be the problem, or the MirrorLink app needs to be upgraded. That will be a challenge to get dealership to do it but I will try. Anyone make MirrorLink work with Samsung 8?

Starlink is an utter dumpster fire of bugs and vulnerabilities. I have a 2017 Crosstrek, and it has had nothing but problems since day one. In my case, the first problem was that the phone would only connect 1 out of 10 times to the Bluetooth, Once it started connecting, I am now only getting track information on Bluetooth once in awhile, no real pattern to when it will show, and not show, also does not matter if its one USB or not. I have contacted Subaru about the problems as well, and in the case they say we have noted your problem, but do not give an ETA on when we will have a fix. My theory is that the fix will be released when these cars go out of warranty, and they can charge us for the patches. This is new car, with a head unit that should never have passed Quality Assurance with the shear number of bugs and problems it had.

I added the Android Auto app to my Android phone and plugged it in with a wire to my brand new Subaru Crosstreck 2018. The Android Auto icon on the Starlink remains grayed out. The app never finds my car as a new car to setup. So I cannot get the map to appear on the Starlink screen. Other functions such as Bluetooth pairing work, but I must reboot my phone upon entry into the car otherwise Starlinks says there is no phone connected. What I really want is this Android Auto map to work. It's pretty sorry stuff that it doesn't work. Why????

I change my oil when I can't see my oil level lines on the dip stick through the oil. It maybe still be good but it's not up to my standards. I've owned cars over fifty years and never had an engine fail on me. Sold them with high miles and they still ran great. Always got compliments on how great the engine ran from the people buying. Best oil is clean oil.

Hot weather is the same story and requires more frequent changes, as do towing, idling a lot, off road operation, quite a few things are defined by the factory as "extreme or severe" conditions.

I bought a 2017 outback last week and my sister in law brought her new honda crv around today. Both 2017 models but the head units are about a decade apart. Subaru sure have a lot of catching up to do. At least the screen is a nice flat surface so i can mount a suction mount phone holder.

Bought a brand new Subaru Outback in December 2016 (in Australia). I've got a Samsung S7, S6, S4 and S2. Apps trying Starlink doesn't work with any of them using pairing or USB connection. Was told Mirrorlink on the system is incompatible by both service department and also from Subaru (via service department direct enquiry). $50,000 later with an infotainment system that's not doing what it should.

I have a 2017 Crosstrek with the smaller screen. Starlink is utter bullshit. It is unbelievably slow and some apps that it comes with were only available in 2015. Why are they still there? Redeemable qualities are that the pandora app is nice because you can save tracks to buy later. Bluetooth connectivity is easy, but slowwwwww. I like being able to control my iPod songs from the steering wheel, but again it's sloooowwwwww. There is a lag between pressing the button and song changes. I hope the new 2017 impreza infotainment system is faster.

i have a 2016 Impreza with the starlink system and none of this works. cant even get mirror link to work. not to mention the speakers sound terrible.
