My stereo is a double din jvc media receiver. My understanding is that adding the comm module to an explorer that wasn't originally equipped is a real PITA.

@@bokm9606 Thanks for the response! Also, I may take on that task at some point, the comm module is cheap enough to take the gamble if im willing to put in the work. I use my explorer as a daily and road trip car so the miles till empty seems useful

The STL file is posted to GrabCAD. You should be able to search "W124 fader switch blank" at GrabCAD and find it.

I am not familiar with newer model Chryslers. I would suspect you will be much better off sticking to factory equipment. I add this bix to the w124 mercedes because this vintage did not have a factory keyless entry option.

That is my only block. Never have blocked a punt though. The game is off the hook

@@bokm9606 after about 7 times, no luck, i used the same trick, wire, switch, its annoying. no modern tester can disable the error, they see it, but cant disable . WT actuall F?!

@@RCmadness888 be really meticulous on the counting of time. Use a stop watch

@@bokm9606 Yes, i did, i read it that the timing is like crucial, but its like to the milisecond?! I had my watch, i did it in every 5 second mark.

@@RCmadness888 it took me several tries. I wonder if taking the key all the out before attempting has something to do with success of lack of success. Maybe also vary the timing of how quickly you turn the key to the on position...? I know that it felt like i did the same process over and over but eventually it worked.

I did not install the horn wire on my car.

Thanks for replying.....my question was...I've notice you connect a regular speaker wire to the door lock using the green wire on the round connector....my question is , where do that wire goes on the keyless entry. I am using a Installgear keyless entry locking system...Thanks in advance

@@rayfordcadle9160 on my unit, (FICBOX Universal Car Door Lock Vehicle Keyless Entry System Auto Remote Central Kit with Control Box ) two wires were connected to the green wire in the car. After cutting the green wire near the pneumatic box under the seat, the WHITE wire from the keyless module was connected to end of the green wire leading directly into the the pneumatic box. The ORANGE/BLACK wire from the keyless entry module then connected to the end of the green wire leading AWAY from the pneumatic box under the seat. ALSO, two wires from the keyless entry module needed to be shorted together - on my box, these wires were ORANGE and WHITE/BLACK. @@bokm9606 Hello Pete, i had purchase the same keyless entry as you have use on your mercedes and follow your guide but i have no luck with mine, i did exactly the way you explain just that i left with 2 wire which is a yellow and a yellow and black unconnected. I thank you for your help.
