Mostly agree, sellsword too high, B tier at most. Retire soldier/swordmaster easy A tier backline or two hander, hp is the worst stat in the game imo.

I'm late to this video but just wanted to say thanks for the ideas on nimble tank. I've been trying to come up with a good build that works and that I also enjoy but so far have been less than impressed with my builds. Will give yours a shot. shield expert is must have 4 me🤷‍♂️ So this Doubles shield bonus. And bonus from shield wall. Its 15 25shield. It 15÷25defence. If only 1 man shield wall. Push back and break shield wall is huge.

I've recently given up my shunning of miners so heavily, and honestly I'm starting to think they're better than farmhands. Here's why: Avg HP: Miner: 65 Farmhand: 66 // less than a level more for farmhand Avg MAtk: Miner : 54.5 Farmhand: 52 // a full level more for the miner Avg Resolve: Miner: 41.5 Farmhand: 32.5 // 3 levels of resolve for the miner (rough estimate) Avg Fatigue: Miner: 85 Farmhand: 110 // 7 levels of fatigue for the farmer (rough estimate) Rest of stats the same averages. How important is fatigue if you're using a 0stam 2h build? Neglible. Unless you want to specialize in sword and board tanks, or duelist style builds, miners are actually better for 2h wearers in a lot of cases when comparing them against farmhands.

Damn, the stat mod makes hiring so much easier. I kinda hate the hiring RNG in this game

I am getting very lucky with beggars recently, and they are much better than farmhands in my experience (and twice as cheap!). All you need to do is to solve low resolve problem and that is not too hard with a banner, accessories or level ups.

Never seen 12*.... Is this really possible or any mods?

In my opinion, archers are there for these reasons: 1. Debuff enemies with Overwhelm 2. Kill enemy soft targets, which include archers, xbowmen, and most importantly, swordmasters! Swordmasters are extremely hard to kill in melee, but they can reliably be killed by bows. 3. Split enemy shield. Yes, have them carry a longaxe. Just quick hand to it and split enemy shields from the backline. That has 100% chance to hit, so no melee skills required.

1 question: it it possible to start as peasant militia and than to slowly convert them in cultists? if so, will there sacrifice happen later?

Killer on the run is D tier? Like, I get the idea, he is extremely rare and stuff, but 10 more percents to hit the head is too overpowered, especially for a backliner with polearm

I agree with most of the stuff but sellsword bastard and hunter Salsworth does not have very good events and I often find that they're too expensive for what you get I feel like bastards usually get pretty good rolls I've never had a terrible bastard And I feel like hunters should be STR if you get a ranged unit like a crossbow minor Archer or a musketeer I almost always get a hunter

Agree with most but feel farmhands are pretty much fodder. I can't remember, if ever, in over 100 hours of playing if I've ever had a three star melee farmer.

Tip number 9 is the best tip anyone has ever given since computer games were invented!

I agree with most things, except for the retired soldier one. In my opinion they should be at least A tier. It's true, they will never be a good front liner with that fatigue, but they are an absolute beast as a backliner. My polearm users always consist of Retired soldiers.

Thanks a lot! So I am 300 hours in. 100 hours few years back, the rest like two months back when I picked up the game again. I am deep into this I have to say. I am still a noob, but I love the game. I love reading the reddit and looking at guides and let's plays when I do not have time to play it myself and I have to say - this might be the best guide out of all those I have seen. - Managing fodder bros - I still have to learn to utilize them, I have the tendency to fire everyone who is not good right away, but having them in the frontline for a) pay for themselves in a few battles before they die and b) protect (better investment) valuable brothers with their own live makes a lot of sense - Farming camps as soon as possible - really well described, just in my latest game I tried something like that, raiding camps and caravans since the first week of the game just skyrocketed the brothers for me with the loot and famed items. Then it went downhill as I just did a lot of contracts instead and now I am struggling in day 70. The advice of farming undead might be a solution for me so thanks. - Pulling camps - good stuff. I feel like the points above are very well described in this guide of yours, yet almost never mentioned or described in the detail I needed to get them in others. So thanks a lot!

Bullseye...on the contrary. At least that’s my experience - every target I would want to snipe hides behind palisades, rocks, trees, or has someone standing in front of them. So I am actually thinking about taking bullseye on all my archers in the new playthrough. Will see.
