If KJ develops a mid game he is gonna be even more better.

I like KJ, A LOT. He is an absolute dog and it's pretty obvious that he is a super hard worker and a very good team member. Saying all that, I do not think he should be on the Spurs. He cannot (and should not) play as a role player. He is much better when he is the main focus of the offense with the ball in his hands than as an off ball cutter/slasher/shooter. The Spurs play much better when the ball is moving around, and if they do need someone to create something from nothing, they have Wemby, Vassell and now Barnes (and they will probably sign a few more in the future). There are plenty teams around the league where he can shine as the main guy and might even become an all star caliber player, but I really don't like his fit with the Spurs

After 20 years, he could legitimately try to make his teammates adjust to him (knowing that he and Pop are on the same page), but he has the wisdom and humility to realize that everyone is unique and he needs to understand their strengths and weaknesses to learn how to get the best out of everyone. I was disappointed to see how much better OKC is than us (the Spurs) in the game last night. They made us look very rough around the edges. Their defense was stifling. They were picking us up at half court and keeping us from getting into sets or running plays from the rehearsed spots. They were swarming Wemby - and anyone else who drove to the basket - whenever he tried to go into the paint, forcing turnover after turnover. And, they shot the 3's much better. We'll get there, but it looks like we are 2 or 3 years behind them in development.

They won't..as i see now everybody is afer to get the ball..they try hard on def. Stealing the ball to the opposite team ball handler and leave the one they are supposed to guard..the results wide open 3 to the opposite team...im basing it this pre season.during the last 3 games...🤣🤣🤣

I was lucky to watch Sidy up close in the G-league. His defense under the basket is elite despite him not being the biggest player out there. He had a few early injuries that delayed his development. Hope this year he finds some traction.
