Good voice
Genius and emotional. Love it 🖤
Used to see Wayne and his band at Al’s Crossroads East in Roebuck Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham in the mid to late seventies, he’s always been damned good, I just heard this song by him for the first time and it’s much better in this Blusey style than the First Addition, excellent work WAYNE, it sounds a lot like Stevie Ray to me 👍😎🎸🎼🎤Can’t wait to do this at my favorite haunts around the Cullman ALABAMA area BadAZZ
NICE!
The Bear wanted Black players, school officials said 'no!', The Bear scheduled USC Trojans in Alabama, got spanked & thanked, 21-42, school officials said 'yes'. The next year, '71, John Mitchell became 1st Black player to get on the field for the 'Tide'. 🙃
I like his answers. He's educating this kid at the same time about things like dedication and hard work.
I loved Coach Bryant! I grew up wanting to play for him and went to the last game he coached in the Liberty Bowl when I was a Junior in HS. Class Act! Miss him ! RTR
Coach Bear Bryant was great friends with my cousin, Al Topazi, (Al used to run the press box at Legion field in Birmingham for years) so after I got out of the Navy in 1981, I was visiting my Great Aunt Mary Giattina and other relatives. She gave me a ticket to see Alabama vs. Southern Mississippi! It ended up a 13-13 tie. Bear Bryant autographed an 8 x10 photo of him self to me with my full name on it! I felt bad when I lent it to Brooklyn's bar in Denver to hang up in their legends room showcase. They never gave it back, saying they lost it. Me and all my relatives have always been die hard Crimson Tide fans!!! ROLL TIDE. Tom Lippi Denver, Colorado
Coach Bryant was always a man among men - like John Wayne. Love the memories and the toughness. He would always take the blame for missed plays because he knew the player's Mama was watching. But when practice came . . . .
Pass that bag of Golden Flake tater chips! I'm fixing to eat me a Bryan Bologna sammich! 🤗
Interestingly, the Mississippi and LSU were the last two collegiate programs to integrate in 1972.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of Bum Phillips, who was one of Bear's assistants. Don't know if he was on staff when this film was made...
Great video. People want to simplify Bear Byrant. He’s just a product of our society. Trying to do the best he can back then.
Bryant was a wife beating alcoholic. Nothing to worship him for Gumps!
Michael Jackson was a great reporter
That was great!!!
Grew up in the late 60s and 70s coach Bryant was and will always be the goat!! Stallings was about like him and then we were spoiled again by coach Saban!!! Went to a lot of games at legion field!!!
Coach Stallings has the greatest voice!
Ol Bear recruited a few of my prayers when I as coaching. Met him many times.
Im the kind of guy who rarely cries. But when i saw this a tear came in eye.Because my dad started watching Alabama football when Bear got there
Coach Bryant personifies CLASS! A great coach and a great man
It feels good being a Alabama native & a Crimson tide fan Roll Damn Tide 4ever!
This video shows the best of Coach Bryant. He treated those kids with class and respect.
And demanded the same from his players, NOT A PERFECT MAN, BUT A GREAT COACH, DON'T FORGET THE SHUG EITHER.
Im 60 so Bear Bryant Gene Stallings and Nick Saban are the greatest coaches BAMA has had in my lifetime 🐘
I love Coach Saban, but, I grew up in the Coach Bryant era, and he will always be The Man to me. ROLL TIDE!!
That was GREAT!! 😂😂 🗣️ ROLL TIDE 🐘
Those kids had great questions.
I just think it’s so awesome how he gives these young man his undivided attention and tried to answer all of their questions to the best of his ability. He is so kind and patient with them. I hope they all remembered this forever. 🐘🐻🐐🏈💪🙌👏🏆❤️‼️
Roll Tide
This is classic.
Glad to see this type of work back home. I grew up in Blount County & graduated in 1975 from Hayden High School. Have lived n TN since 1987 but like all native Southerners, home is where you were raised & your family is from! So I am still a 'Bama Boy!
Anyone know what year this is?
1973: Read all about it here: www.newamericanjournal.net/2018/02/exclusive-video-found-of-university-of-alabama-football-coach-paul-bear-bryant/
Saban and The Bear are both the GOAT
Saban wasn't even the greatest Ala coach, definitely not the GOAT. Bear is.
@@nevillesmith426YOU HAVE TO BE DUMB,SABAN IS THE GREATEST COACH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL, DO YOU NOT WATCH TV,BEAR CAN'T TOUCH SABAN "THE TRUE GOAT"
Bear Bryant is a dead drunk. Not a good man. Literally fell out at public speaking events from being so drunk.
@@nevillesmith426The bear was the GOAT for his era. His style of play by today's standards was antiquated. If he was coaching today...he'd be getting his ass kicked regularly. But for his time...there was Noone better.
@ Bear integrated the team and has a better record than Saban. Saban faced some challenges but not like integration. GOAT stands for all time. Saban couldn’t win today either (that’s why he quit) the dry rot we see in the team that DeBoer takes heat for (penalties, poor OL play, undisciplined) all started in 2021/22 under Saban. It was a much harder landing when Bear retired.
Roll Tide. What year?
Read the text below the video and the story linked there. It says 1973.

"I would like to know..." Haha I like them kids way better than any of those knuckleheads on espn.
If they would maintain it properly it would be ok. It would have to be dredged to get a good flow back and prevent heavy downpours from flooding the camp. Of course that would mean they would have to leave there desk to do so! It will not be long until they close the gate and log all the timber and make it a big eyesore like Choccolocco has become.
They already closed it.
Hi Glynn. I just saw this!
So kind and humble, one of a kind.
The flood was the excuse they used but we all know they closed it because of the aggressive bigfoots that call chinabee home
Nah, they closed it for spite after we stopped fracking in the Talladega National Forest.
I’ve had bears cross right in front of me! Not a myth. Beautiful ride.
He's just kidding around. I've photographed bears on Skyline Drive.
The man was never a racists.... Look at who he is talking to.
So because he is talking to black people he isn’t a racist? Lmao at the Alabama logic when being so football obsessive. It’s pretty obvious what the state of Alabamas priorities always have been. 😂
The guy who says there's too much government "intervention" kinda makes me think of the interventionists who enjoyed DC on January 6th
Big difference between interventionist and insurrectionist. It's impossible to tell which side this guy is on. He doesn't like the government in principle, although when he talks about the government owning land, we see that as "the people" owning the land with access to enjoy it. He might be on the side or private property rights, but "Delaware North is a disaster."
what a charming man. It’s no wonder that the people who were in his close circle of friends loved the guy
"Good .... real good" "Bad .... real bad" The wonderful thing was that we got to see those feelings play out each Sunday over a Coke and a bag of Golden Flake chips. His show was absolute must watch TV for a large portion of the nation. Miss ya like hell, Coach. Roll Tide Roll
Love seeing the Bear! He was so sweet to these kids!
He has almost as much patience with those kids as Nick Saban would.
