My parents to us every summer in the fifties and sixties. The Dennis was still around then. I can't see those old pictures without thinking of the show Boardwalk Empire. Must have been interesting back then.

Without the subtitles you wouldn't know if it was Britain, America, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand. The lower classes all dressed in the same work attire and fought the same wars while the upper set all lounged about and laughed at them.

The right brother shop still exists today and it is located intact at the Ford Museum in Michigan along with many other historic homes. Not markup or reproduction. The actual building. Worth the trip.

1:54...Ex R/M driver here. Much really hasnt changed today. We still use similar carts to move the mud where its needed. Now they have rubber tires. Mixers are mounted on trucks & can haul up to 10 yds. ,8.5 yds legally, depending on laws for road wt. limits. I guessing those mixers hold 1/4 yd each. A whole yd goes 4000 lbs. When you see these trucks on the roads, respect them please. 🙏❤😊

I camped by the Johnson river near Innisfail and it was full of crocs, only small ones. The locals said they don't bother you, but I didn't go a walking out at night and I got outa there pronto the next morning. Very creepy experience. Strange people up there.

Have to say, things seemed more homely back then, made for human need rather than efficiency and profit. Not everything of course, clothes and shoes were a tad too formal for me.
