Well young man, you did a great job in your video and diagnosed my problem. My trim strip got all bunged up in the motor unit so I ordered a new unit from your recommendated source, Trolling Motor Parts. You are correct, they had the best prices and free shipping. Went ahead and ordered that small belt for $5.95. Most important was your recommendation to put something under the working area. I’m working over water, I put together a net and sure enough, the collar down by the prop fell into it. THANK YOU!!!

I just spun a hub on my Yamaha 50 2 stroke last week. I ordered a complete prop from Amazon for $34! Cheaper than buying s hub!

Nice job on this video. The trim belt on my Ulterra came loose and fell out of the head unit on my last outing earlier this week. The T25 tensioning screw backed out from vibration. I just had to remove the four screws holding the top cover of the head, reattach the belt to the tensioning block, and put it back together. Easy 15-minute fix. Your video helped me understand what to look for and how to fix it. Keep up the good work. I have subscribed.

Pretty well done……. A couple of things worth noting. Minn Kota does not recommend WD-40 for lubricating the motor a silicone based spray is better and will not attract dirt and dust. There is a torque of 8-10 inch lbs on tightening the belt holding screw in the head, any more and you risk snapping the drive motor belt or damaging the lift/trim belt, any less and the lift/trim could jump a tooth or several.

Well darn it, this kid taught me something today...and I'm 70 years old! Great job kid.

You can also use the yellow band that comes around lumber and heavy boxes. Fold it in half and insert and rub the tails together. It will begin to curl.

Always deflate the airbag before opening the door. Opening the door with the bag still inflated can damage the vehicle

Not really to be honest they need to ban those air bag pumps from public and go back to the old days because all this is showing that all you really need is just that air pump bag and you can pretty much break into anything without “forceful” entry or evidence. Try to think a little bit smarter rather then think smart and less work. I forgot the phrase but you know what I mean.

Hey a quick question, I just had to manually stow my Ultera and now my trim motor is just stuck about 6 inches up the shaft. How should I go about being able to slide it back down..... Did not break belt. Already liked and subbed

You guys did a great job. That being said, as long as you still have a section of the belt still through the motor, you can put some packing tape around it to the new belt and simply draw it through by spinning the gear with the drill like you did. If you do it this way, you don’t have to undo any wire connections you just have to take the top unit and the top of the motor assembly off. It’s about a 20 minute job this way. Again, I’m not trying to take anything away from your video. I would’ve not tried it myself. Had I not watched your video, so thank you!
