The "Anti-Research" Approach to Advertising | r/Advertising School #204
Before the holiday, we were joined by Maria Vorovich and Holland Martini, co-founders at GoodQues, an "anti-research" agency.
Maria and Holland are brilliant strategists and analysts with impressive backgrounds working in big advertising agencies. In this session of r/Advertising School, we talk shop about starting an agency, breaking into the industry, and how GoodQues is approaching market research totally differently.
Maria and Holland were kind enough to host a class during our first r/Advertising School class, definitely worth the watch: th-cam.com/video/Tm1_yDcRjq8/w-d-xo.html
You can read more about GoodQues on their site: goodques.com/

Portfolio and Resume Building in Advertising with Jim Walls r/Advertising School #101
Her advice of being selfish, aggressive and loud is very toxic and is contributing to the toxicity of the creative industry. Creativity should be about being collaborative and empathic. Really disappointing advice coming from someone in a leadership position, that people can see as a role model.
Viva la vulva is a good example? No need to explain more. Thank you, I'm - out...
ummmm ummmm ummmm aahhhhhh it was so annoying
need more content like this...
I’m so excited to be in school again!
I'm currently in my shifting era; moving from finance to advertising just with the online material. Been obsessed and inquisitive about advertising and art direction. This is a blessing! Thank you so much
so much thank to you, it's a brilliant artflow ❤🔥

This was sooooo helpful and insightful! Thank you Maria and team :)
Going to Humber in the Fall for a postgrad in Copywriting/Art Direction. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks so much for this!!!
I commented too soon on this. The more I listen, the more I feel so understood as a copywriter. No matter how much I may complain about it sometimes, I truly can't see myself doing anything else for a living! ☺️✏️❤️
totally understand that feeling!
The topic around 23:30 regarding the acquisition definitely hits for me. I'm currently going through this at my marketing job which I loved that it was a small company... and the uncertainty of staying until I'm not growing anymore. Because the acquisition and who controls what is still unclear at this time, I'm not sure which point I'm at but it's very nice to hear this is a normal thing to feel, especially in the copywriting space.
Is this rad school host the same guy who wrote the book behind him, the hidden psychology of social networks??
yep!
THIS IS SO INSIGHTFUL! THANK YOU!!
Lovely channel, thank you for all this value
Love love this. I’m about to enter the world of advertising as a Junior AD in the next few weeks after graduation and this was so inspiring/motivating to watch.
