Root beer Fizzies were the best! I really liked all the flavors. I didn't hear about the return of Fizzies until they were discontinued again! I wish they'd come back again.

I remember seeing a magazine ad circa 1961 showing two girls on a yellow-and-green tandem bicycle for Tandem shampoo with the headline: "The one shampoo that's really two."

Tip Top bread was sold mainly in the East, but I remember it was available in the St. Louis area at the time the commercial aired...

Must have been similar to Puffs, judging from the swirling creamy effect after the lady reaches for some face cream

Fizzies were taken off the market because they contained cyclamates. An attempt was made to market them again using real sugar, but the resulting Fizzies tablets were about the size of elephant pills.

Procter & Gamble has probably decided to have the Ivory Liquid jingle to be used as a jingle for Fairy Liquid.

I could use a fizzy right about now…

I remember Lilt & other brands of home perms, back in the 1960's. I was, literally, terrified of seeing these boxes in the stores. Girls that used this stuff at home would burn their hair off or melt it together. Is it any wonder we all became hippies & grew our hair out, long & natural? It was because of "scary boxes of Lilt"!!! : )

Little kid walks into a drug store and approaches the soda jerk. "May I have a glass of water please?" The jerk complies. "I need five waters," the kid goes. HOW DOES THIS FIZZIES COMMERCIAL END, but with a "Happy FIZZIES Party"!

No other soup compares to Campbell's. I tried a vegetable soup from another brand the other day, and it tasted like plain water. Most of the Campbell's soups, I don't add water to. Many cam be eaten right from the can (unless you're within polite society, at the time).

I don't remember Hum, but Colgate-Palmolive tried something similar when it launched Action chlorine bleach packets around 1962 ("put a giant in your washer!"). And the copy line was modified a bit when Lever Brothers launched blue Vim detergent tablets in 1962

Back in the 60's campbell soup and sandwich. Now 21st century are campbell soup and slices of pizza.

Wow!! I worked at Kinney Shoes as a teen in the early 90's. Didn't realize Kinney Corp owned footlocker and lady footlocker. Loved using my employee discount at those stores.
