Welcome to RC Plane Addict Channel! This is where you can fly and learn with me, Manny, as I explore the amazing world of Remote Control Airplanes.
Flying RC planes is a favorite past time I shared with my father growing up, that had many memorable experiences and not so many successes. As an adult my passion had been reignited and I am all about sharing my love and passion for this hobby.
On this channel I hope to share many first experiences from unboxings and reviews to maiden uncut flights or crashes. I will also be posting builds, how to guides, setups, and experimenting with new ideas.
I am no professional by an stretch of the imagination, but I do have about ten years experience that includes anything from flying 4 plus channel airplanes to building my own planes from free online plans printed from my computer.
I'm excited to share my experiences and knowledge with you.

Good information and video. Need to angle your camera down some. There were sceens I could not see what your hands were doing or pointing at. Keep up the good work.
Great video . I appreciate it 👍🏼
Nice plane! What's the biggest reason people still use gas engines rather than electric?
The double twitch doesn’t signify AS3X is working, it shows SAFE has been programmed into the receiver.
Turnigy battery? TOTAL JUNK TRY SMC...you will never look back
You go to great lengths to show and explain how stiff and strong is the wing when bent but then you weaken it by removing material from the centre of the lower step so it sits on the fuselage. You even show how much more it flexes which then necessitates the introduction of a carbon fibre spar to restore strength and flexing stiffness. Surely it would have been better not to remove material from the centre of the wing but instead to add a packing piece to the underside the same thickness as the lower step and the same width of the fuselage. If anything, the wing would have been strengthened not weakened and the spar probably would then not have been necessary.
Super informatives Video .
This calculation is wrong You've already fly with 3minutes 30 sec and you want to fly additional 21%. Where you wrote 80% wrong it supposed to be 21% since you want to use additional 21% to make it 80%. 210×21= 4,410 4,410÷59 = 74.745 74.745÷60= 1.245 Which is 1mimutes 4sec. So if you fly your plane more for 1 minute 4 sec you've surely use 80% of your battery and you will have 20% left
Amigo pode mim dizer qual é o valor de um desse aí por favor
I have had problems with their heavy duty 6s 5000 60c batteries also. The voltage sag on some were so bad that my ESC was going into limp mode after takeoff. I had one puff up really bad today so it is on the charger set to destroy right now. I have had zippy compact batteries that have worked great.
120c🤣
MANY WHATS UP, no more videos?
where is the center of gravity?
I’ve never had a plane that can fly 3s and 4s perform better or even comparable on 3s. There’s no going back.
it's May 2024 and i just printed the Shark it came out a beautiful thing, printed first time except for one f1 . See you had some luck with the eclipson I couldn't get that to print.
Good Information. Question . Can we set all dr/expo on one switch. I was following along nicely until elevator position 2 will not accept any values .
Great video ! Very helpful !
Nice airplane !
Very good control under pressure when you lost a propeller. Well done!!!!
i bult the same plane (Hobby Hangar) but did it in electric. It flies beautifully. Never a hitch or anything that gave me the willies about it. Flies inverted really nice and looks oh so cool running down the runway at 5' inverted.
he's got larger engines - that is why it is heavier than the specs ALSO - the plane was designed for counter-rotating props which would cancel out the torque - my guess is - those are not counter-rotating props - so there us a lot of torque to cancel out that is why it has such poor ground handling on take-off
What a great plane and great landing with one engine!!!
Interesting. I watched a vid on this plane three days before I saw this. On the actual full size plane the test pilots liked the way it handled very much. Maybe the bigger engines didn't actually help with handling.
poor handling is being caused by lack of counter-rotating props - which the proto-type had
It morphed into the f7f Tigercat
And just like the real thing…she’s climbing in the blink of an eye!
Too bad ya couldn't have scale counter rotating engines. Looks great
Sweet. One of my favorite planes. Came down to expense, parts, plus...you could have one f5f or TWO Corsairs. Climb rate was over 4k ft/min!
The original had counter rotating props. Does yours? If so it might just spin the prop nut right off unless there are left handed threads there.
Well done! By all accounts the prototype flew well. It could climb in excess of 4000 fpm. We are familiar with the F4F, F6F, F7F and F8F. This was to be the F5F. It later morphed into the F7F.
Great plane! So nice to see the scale props on it.
Try free flight.
So do you recommend it bro
Gulp! I'm just starting to print this plane. I know what flying a tail heavy plane is like.. that said it was tail heavy. What I did see in your video and probably someone else addressed it. But a low wing plane must be balanced upside down. Even if you had the cg correct with your finger placement the plane will pitch nose down because of it being top heavy. I hope this helps.
But all T-28 Trojans have fussy landing gear
Sir I want to become rc plane having 2kg weight I will use edf 70mm- 6s motor then tell me which is suitable battery for this rc plane mAh??? C??? Please reply me sir I request you
I finally found a build process why is this plane so hidden
How do u bind?
There is a thing called a bind plug you plug that in to the receiver and when you turn on your transmitter hold down the bind button if you don’t have a transmitter with a bind plug I can’t help you there
By the way, can you ask your partner? What size prop he has, thank you. Just wondering what he adapted the 3 through the 2 specs.
Ive got the wings printed but the fuselage nose and middle are showing a few areas look like they need supports but troy mcmillans video he says to use no supports at all. I cant get an answer from him but those parts also sliced show the nose top enclosed where its not supposed to be. What did it do for you? Thanks
I started flying RC planes about 2 years ago. I've built up quite a collection E-Flite and Durafly planes. Just for grins, I built a foamboard FT Tiny Trainer with the sport wing a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed the build and am blown away with how great this plane flys. It stays in my car and I fly it every time I go to the field. I'm currently building the FT Simple Scout from plans. Your Cub seems to fly great with that KFM wing.
warthunder xp50 aha
Please, how many flaps do you have for takeoff and landing and what is your elevator compensation? I can see on the video that the plane doesn't even swing after the flaps are extended. Thank you for answer.
Hello! Would love to know if you think you could get a 4s 5000 pack in there. Also, what flight times can you get on this bird? THank you! Am looking at the V4 model.
Beautiful plane and your project? What size is this plane? Compliments
maybe next time try to land it properly instead of splashing it into the ground, you tip stalled it.
You are not wrong, definitely a tip stall, but this plane was incredibly hard to control, and possibly under powered. Also, incredibly frail. I cant say I didnt give it a honest college try.
@@RCPlaneAddict from what i saw it did not "break" but it unglued the section itself is that correct?
Hello, there is foam inside the engine compartment on both sides should I remove it or not?
Leave it. I think it’s there for a reason, unless it is the way of your battery or RX
Great job thank you for the video is it pretty fast with a 4 cell?
Thanks for your honest video. Have just bought one and consider myself ok with landings, sometimes if alone I just do tight circuits and touch & goes, many many times. Landing is the bit I enjoy the most. I agree with you, the front leg is rubbish, the suspension is ineffective, I struggle to compress it with my hand. It appears to have a 'breakback' that will collapse it on a hard landing - unless it did actually break something? I pulled it out and could feel it bypass with a click, then it worked ok but subsequent landings would collapse it and soon it would collapse as soon as take off commenced. So I hung it up in the garage feeling seriously miffed. I bought it on the fact I'd read it has more durable/robust gear. I was sceptical buying into complexities with retracts on rough grass but it was an itch I had to scratch. After watching your video I'm going to copy your modification. Thank you very much. P.S. I had to add 40g to the tail, way nose heavy. Never had that before with a foam model
I run the rclipo 5200 4s in my ebuggy. Lightweight and low profile, plus great power makes them perfect. Only thing is theyre longer than conventional stick car batteries but i just made my tray longer and that was it.
Enjoyed your video
