Hi Shawna, thanks for the question! Before dipping the pot into the glaze the bottom of the pot gets dipped in melted wax which gets soaked into the pot. The pot is very dry as it has been in the kiln once. You can see the wax dipping here: th-cam.com/video/-wvAjVIu534/w-d-xo.html

What I never get is that does that holding thing leave holes? 😭 That would annoy me so much, how do you fix the holes?

@@yourgamingfriend2032 Great question! You can use your nail to push the surrounding glaze and fill in the hole which will disappear once cooked in the kiln.
