It’s a '57 kombi. Lots of the original dove blue paint still there. This is not one of them decades long abandoned, barn find... Only two years since the last trip with the old bus. L'acquitrino andava affrontato con una fila di ruote ai margini: c'era terreno secco e duro lì. Non è ancora un Syncro, quindi bisogna imparare a prevedere queste cose. Targa posteriore instabile.
Pacat ca aceste case taranesti autentice de patrimoniu nu sunt luate in evidenta de ministerul culturii ( daca se poate numi asa ), fotografiate, inventariate, restaurate si, eventual, mutate intr-un muzeu al satului din Transilvania, daca exista asa ceva. Chiar daca nu este inca organizat se poate organiza intr-un loc anume si nu lasate prada distrugerii, furturilor, intemperiilor si uitarii.. Avem valori si nu stim sa le apreciem, sa le pastram, sa le conservam. Poate n-ar fi rau sa aratati filmul si expertilor din Muzeul satului Bucuresti sau Muzeului Taranului Roman. Depinde si ei cum stau cu fondurile. Frumoasa tara avem!! Nu prea are cine s-o gospodareasca iar interesele sunt intotdeauna altele....cam asa ceva ,nu???
Partea trista este ca in spatiul asta, Transilvania, cultura romaneasca, arhitectural vorbind, doar in mediul rural s-a manifestat, urbanul fiind unguresc, sasesc... Si am gasit sate in care pe listele Ministerului apareau case incadrate ca monumente istorice, doar ca la fata locului ele nu mai existau de ani de zile.

@@Nifartachi nope, but im planning on buying one in the future. I have a Suzuki Vitara 1.6 carb, 1995, but it's now in the same condition as your bus - engine down, rust everywhere and some stuff to be repaired or changed.. I've reached the most difficult-to-reach places with this thing :)

Adrian, toata lumea te lauda pentru ce mare isprava ai facut reparand Busul intrun mod cum se facea pe vremea comunista, cand nu erau piese, nu erau conditii, nu era mai nimic. Eu evaluez proiectul tau doar ca reanimare, nu si o reinviere. Proiectul merita mult mai mult respect fata de estetica si tehnica care a facut ca acest automobil sa fie epocal. Trebuie sa mentionez, ca Busul nu a nimerit in maini bune ci este inhamat la caruta, pana la ultima rasuflare, in loc sa straluceasca in lumina care ia fost insuflata acum 50 de ani. Stiu ca ma vei pizduii, in loc sa mi multumesti pentru cuvinte frumoase precum au fost rostite de ceilalti, dar este sincera mea parere si cred ca numai asta te va imbogati cu adevarat. Sa fi bine cuvantat.
Subliniez ca nu avem ce discuta daca tu esti pentru restaurari totale, impotriva patinei, masina sa arate ca noua. Chiar si asa, e o parere pe care o respect, dar e total diferita fata de convingerile mele. De aici reiesind imposibilitatea unei discutii, nu pt. ca nu mi-ai zis lucruri frumoase...
This is the most enjoyable and informative Vw Kombi video I have ever seen. ( I’ve got a 1967 Kombi with 1641cc Dual Port, but I love the simplicity of your bus). Bravo!

Good Luck, but I would check the link pin for the front end because in some of those great scenic pictures, and the final footage of you driving off, the front wheels doesn't seem quite look right, maybe it is ok, but check it to be sure, we want more videos ! It looks like they tip in too much at the top of the wheel. All that matters is that it runs and you have great memories from your adventures, as you show us you do ! thanks
