He is performing in the theatre I work as a tech in this coming Saturday. 10/12/2024 Capitol theatre Wheeling WV. I think this is his last go around. He can still sing but he is starting to lose a bit of the real high stuff but geeze, this guy is in his 80's. I have worked with Donnie before and even met him when I was teenager when he sang for the Jaggerz. I worked a lot with one his best friends from the Pitsbiurgh area. B.E. Taylor. Sadly we lost some years back to brain tumor. He is deeply missed by all who knew him.

WOW!!! This song has been a favorite of mine for a lot of years..Have watched many vids of this song but this version was just WOW!!!! Considering that Donnie was 73/74 when this was taped , JUST OUTSTANDING.. Another great version of this song is from 2002 with Lisa Bliel as backup singer..
