Extra 20 temples＃17 Kanno-ji
●About this temple
In the 12th year of Konin (821), by imperial order of Emperor Saga, he was appointed as the chief of charge for the repair of the collapsed Manno Pond, which was completed in just three months.
For his achievements, he received a reward from the Emperor and built Jinnoji Temple as a temple to protect Mannoike Pond.
For this reason, it is known as a temple that protects Mannoike Pond.
The temple was destroyed by fire in 1581, but in 1934, on the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of Kobo Daishi's death, the Manno Daishi Association was formed and the temple was rebuilt as Jinnoji. was rebuilt
The Gomadan Rock, where Daishi is said to have practiced Goma Dharma, still remains in Manno Pond.

別格二十寺 第十七番札所 神野寺
●寺の歴史/縁起
弘仁十二年（八二一）、嵯峨天皇の勅命により、決壊した満濃池の修築のため別当に任ぜられ、わずか三ヶ月で完成させた
その功績により天皇から褒賞金を賜り、満濃池鎮護の寺として神野寺を建立されました
そのため、満濃池鎮護の寺として知られる
天正九年（一五八一）に焼失して廃寺となったが、昭和九年（一九三四）、弘法大師一千百年御遠忌をむかえ、満濃大師会が結成、神野寺として堂宇が再建された
満濃池の中には大師が護摩法を修したと伝わる護摩壇岩が今でも残っている
