@@a1rborn222 I did 5+- AND 12+- , cut the DVD cable and sata cable in half and connected the cut parts together, there's a diagram to show the DVD drive cables

@trinkettinkeringking can I just connect them to the under side of the connector on the board, or does it have to be on the wire

@@kingstone02 idk those Waterblocks have very tiny channels, in my experience that vue crap clogs up radiator pipes and Waterblocks like as soon as you put it in lol

@@kingstone02 true, but I like the crystal clear look, spent extra on that fan with the fluid bearing, plus I have some details I'm adding to the inside you won't be able to see with any other fan

Well still have these and couple other modded consoles that still have use without the store, one is the jtag ruby red shell build, still have a water cooled jail broken PS3 I'll be doing, and my personally water cooled 360 and 360 slim to redo, so still 360 stuff for a little while lol but eventually we will do some new gens and circle back to my PSP at some point 😅

@trinkettinkeringking maybe ebay still has 360's that you can use but who knows! I will miss it very much because it is my childhood. But I guess Microsoft/Xbox has to move on from it

@@JordanWheeler1999 oh yea I still get them on eBay, they are loaded with 360s custom ones, special editions, still a thriving market for the nostalgic ones lol

@@steaming_ well I used to try that but too many people would end up ghosting me or think they can get a water-cooled build for like 200 bucks lol but also it's very difficult to do while I still have a full time job, I am working towards doing this full time then it would be much easier to do commissions

@@trinkettinkeringking yeah that makes 100% sense and i figured you’d probably get some people who end up ghosting or thinking they’d be able to get it for a low price, but if i was willing to pay you before you even start building it would you be able to do any theme or even a similar theme of a previous one you’ve done or it’s just whatever cool shells you have on hand?

@@steaming_ yea unfortunately I couldn't do like request for ghost cases or certain faceplates unless you bought it urself, but my "simple" builds I've done alot of themes for people like a halo character and I would paint and add LEDs to match the theme and use sticker or photo paper to get a shot of the character and put it behind a window or something or even a figure, like the Yoda build I plan to get a miniature x-wing to put inside the console, but I'll be honest I am definitely not an artist, I know some cool paint techniques and solid colors but don't expect me to hand paint like Robert Downey Jr on the side of the console or something 😂

@@steaming_ but yes once at least the Vader and Yoda builds are done I'll be more freed up to talk a build🤙

(you say you’re not an artist but yet you build straight artwork bro much props)

@@bdawwg0774 well that's sort of the goal by doing the build series, I know I kinda just explain without alot of showing, however once these builds are done and I finally have time to redo my personal 360s, I plan to do a full detailed build on them showing everything, also have alot of older video tutoring like water-cooling a 360 and stuff, and specific questions you'd have feel free to ask!

@@amikosik I will be modifying the fan tunnel to accommodate the larger gpu heatsink, help direct the flow more, once I get back to working on this one, for now trying to get Vader build to this same point

@@bdawwg0774 super rare finds on eBay lol literally Ive been out of them for awhile and only recently found some, however the clear fan shrouds you can still get on XCMs Etsy store, there are also right now, on eBay a ruby red shell, clear blue shell, smoke clear slim shell but the seller is asking an insane amount

@@bdawwg0774 everything else I use like tiny radiators and tubing and small fans and UV stuff I still use, performance PC dot com, mod my mods dot com, and Amazon and ebay

@@trinkettinkeringkinggod damn you’re a lucky guy then 😂. I never find crap on eBay regarding anything to do with 360 modding. Not a lot of people care about this sort of thing in the UK it seems. 😂

@@bdawwg0774 haha yeaaa I definitely got lucky recently, found a guy as soon as he posted a ruby red shell and just chatted with him and got a whisper fan and fan tunnel from him too but he's out now, he also had 3 slim ghost shells for 550 each and they all sold immediately

@@Unregistered007 nope, alphacool and xspc made blocks but since they sold out over a decade ago I've ever been able to find another, I personally have 1 360 phat water block, 1 360 slim block, and one PS3 slim block

ps360 your a couple hundred years ahead man we are only at ps5 and I still have a ps3 and 4 plus the ps5

@@InternationalLiaison that's a new one I'll be honest lol I mean the people getting these I know and stay in contact with them, any big fan I've used on the outside has only been to 5v, they have a pretty low rpm and wouldn't hurt an infant to be honest they just don't spin fast enough or have sharp blade designs, they have the option when buying to include a giant ugly metal grill but it defeats the purpose of the fan acting as a window to the inside 🤷‍♂️

@@InternationalLiaison honestly I think you are picturing like a desk fan or box fan those have a much stronger motor, even compared to a regular PC fan 120-140 those can be high rpm, the 200mm fans don't need to spin very fast to move air, anything you stick in the way will feel like a light "tap" and the fan would immediately stop, then very slowly go back up to speed🤙

@@trinkettinkeringking I just remember my brothers friend putting his finger in one of the broken grates on our box fan having to go to the hospital for stitches and a cast. Myself Im an Ebay vendor and a general contractor and all any one talks about in my world is UL safety, and is it safe. LOL

I did at one point water cool, it's the same as the slim just doesn't have the angled panels really, I always prefered phats for PS3 and 360 to build on, slims next since there was alot of mod parts for em too, not so much for E, and nothing for the PS3 super slim... I hate those 😂

@@finalmanfinalman3223 yup I have a lot to do so, also debating if it's worth it, the xspc Waterblock doesn't use the clamps either since it's all one piece with 8 screws it should warp anything, but I'd feel better with the X lol

@@thesmokecriminal5395 can't really find them anymore, I just cut my own window or i still have a couple XCM DVD drive tops, but yea they do take some time to cut that metal and do it cleanly

@@trinkettinkeringking IMO if ur gonna have a see through side panel or a section of the side panel that is see through, the DVD drive cover should be see through as well

@@thesmokecriminal5395 I agree! Anything but a factory DVD drive with the sticker on it, drives me crazy when someone puts a ghost case or a window without doing anything to the inside, the 2 phats I'm working on now will have DVD drive delete🙌

@@thesmokecriminal5395 rgh2 with chip, and RGH 1.2 with chip and lifetime on stealth servers, one or cooled one internal water cooled

@@kingstone02 yea but it will run cool with them off, and then just overcool at 12 lol plus those little 40s are kind of obnoxious at full 12

@@trinkettinkeringking If it's a modded xbox 360 why not let the mobo do all the fan speed and trims and adjust the speed for the temps in the software? Shouldn't be to hard to T into the control side and add the voltage you need from the other connector.

@@duhzeez7462 well the point was "fun" and to add a clever way to fill the DVD drive gap on the faceplate, the fans and LEDs will be run from the knob, it's more of an aesthetic choice. The 200mm fan alone is already overkill, I assure you I'm not worried about heat whatsoever here. The big fan is capable on its own if replacing all the air inside the console...150+ times per minute lol controller is mainly to adjust the noise from the little 40mm fans

@@trinkettinkeringking Gotcha. But you're definitely going to have heat issues with that tiny 200mm fan on it...
