Usually i used the beam method to cheese the alpha wolfs and other crazed animal what isn't a bear. I never understood the bear achievement. A polar bear maybe killed me already, but a normal one? Never... maybe it's bodyguard jaguars. :D

I rarely saw only one scorpion at a time. :D So this is "normal" to me. I started to accept the fact that my Icarus arent normal. There is a double "ghostly" forest to west from my base, sometimes i saw double ore nodes in the caves, or rock boulders. And while the game is on hard difficulty sometimes it is too easy with the wildlife just to the next animal shows itself as a superanimal. And the fps is.. terrible. Maybe i have to demolish some of my old bases and rebuild them with smaller part count because -i think- i have 2800-ish building part on the map. :D But i don't know why would matter that. Most of them are not in the main area. One huge hunting lodge at the river, there is a small underground base. And a few 1block shelter, the big tower. One hunting house at the arctic area. The one at the desert, and some cave space. I mean... i have 3-4 large ones far from each other. Whatever. Thanks the comments. :D

@@theuselessgamer Weird. The latest update gives a count (object?). I've seen someone have a double red exotic tree. I wonder what causes it. The only times I've seen the animals double up, are when you leave the marked operation area then return.

Yup, im using NVidia's Broadcast to supress the outside noises. I live in a concrete apartment building with plenty of neighbours near one of the main transit roads... So i had to cancel them off. And sometimes when i record a video late i automaticly speak lower voice...

@@theuselessgamer OK - I understand. I also live in a concrete apartment building, so understand the problem. The settings seem quite strict though as your voice cuts out completely so you only get parts of words at times. I don't know of any sensible way around it unfortunately.

@@itsmeagain1745 I have some issues with the graphics lately in some games. Specially with using RT even if my card isn't strong enough to use that, the Nvidia experience set up that automatically. :D I found that, in icarus my GPU is nearly never went below 80% usage and sometimes the 100% was the case. And because im using NVidia Broadcast the audio sometimes cuts out not just overclean that. I tried to decrease the noise cancellation in Broadcast and decreased the graphic of the game AND changed some quality stuff in the OBS maybe...

@@theuselessgamer It's one hell of a graphics hog. I'm not surprised that you have some problems in spite of everything the developers do to streamline the game. Maybe it's Nvidea telling you to sell a kidney and buy the latest and greatest card. Not going to go well next time though...

But poison ammo isn't available only on Promtheus? I wil try the fire rifle rounds next time. I have to kill 3 of these beasts now. :D

@@theuselessgamer All biomes, Tier 1 - the same place as you find the Wood Bow. There are fire arrows and poison arrows. Probably be enough with the fire arrows. A few of those in the beast then guns. A few more arrows then back to the guns. The fire will keep burning when he's underground. I think he has a weak spot on the chest. I've seen someone 2 shot kill it (may have been 1 shot - a long time ago). When he's up on his back legs, try to put a couple of bullets in the chest and see what hit points you get.

At the oasis i did that when i checked the space pod, but i totally forgot that method at the scorpion. I forgot the fact that the cougars are attrackted to loud sounds like gunshots. Even if i had some troubles because of that in the not long tima ago past. :D

But the small ones dorp them as well... then why would anyone messing with the big guy if you have to go in to a small mining session and collecting the scales from there? Or the sandworms scale is different from the caveworms?

@@theuselessgamer Caveworms and sandworms are different. There is an Olympus mission to give you the ability to craft weapons with caveworm parts - not worth it on open world except to have done the mission. The caveworm bow was great on missions as it was as good as the recurve bow but made on the crafting bench. When you earned ren and bought a good bow the were of less use. The arrows gave poison damage.

That is a useful information. I didn't know that Icarus have this. I had some toughts about this because sometimes looked like this effect happened with me but never saw any of my animal like popping in to existance. :D Thank you very much. I wil do some experiment with this feature.

And i really don't know why. I didn't changed my setup. Nor the hardware part nor the softwares. Sometimes the obs does wierd things. Maybe that's the cause.

What i (we) saw at the double alpha wolf and the pack of wolfs, and the fights against bears and jaguars i think 5 wolf would be a thing against the polar bears. If not... than the panic comes. :D

I think i killed every enemy there. I don't remember if i heard any growling in the near distance (nor further away) and that happened with me twice. I don't think that i'm that unlucky to have two stucked enemy...But next time i will try to check the near forests and rocks as well. Thank you for the tip!

I learn almost every engrams on the previous maps, and that grappling hook is a modded item. But to craft it i had to craft hooks (a lot), so i think you can use the grapples without mods as well.

@theuselessgamer no you can't on official I just tried they don't latch onto anything even tho you can craft them and fire them

@@crazyjoe101 then it's the mod, and that means the map is more annoying to play if you have to travel a lot.

One of my friends told me that when you bring kids with you and do tasks than you'll get more experience than normal. So yes, they won't learn from me, but the tribe get more experience. I mean.. that was what i heard.

@@theuselessgamer also yes that is true, bringing 2 apes gives more neuronal energy, and 1 only gives normal amount. I like doing 1 because if i am too quick i get bored of the game -_-

@@SomethingMadeForSteam I think i can believe! This game is complex and has a big "gidgud" feel what i like in the soulslike games and building/engineering games.

basically your kids can learn from you only in special occasions like bringing them to meteor sites and inspecting them, in which they gain mutations and you get more reinforcements for the generation

Ancestors: The humankind odessey It was released on steam in 2020 august 27. So it is four years old. The publisher was Private division, and the dev was Panache Digital games. I really enjoy this game, even if it really hardcore sometimes because the "lack" of tutorial. It is a really old timer game where you have to learn the game... :)

Thanks, i didn't found the mushroom recepie yet so that will be helpful to try out. I think the birds didn't take any damage down there or they get less damage and the increased healing factor compensate it. :) I want to bring some assault gun with me when i go down again. I can't hit the seekers with the crossbow and the birds can't fight.. :/

Yeah.. about that. I rarely play multiplayer versions of a game and if play some that mostly coop. The only game what i play in pvp is War Thunder and i didn't played it 2 years ago. The last time when i played competitive games at events was at the Quake 3 arena era... And the Ark's comminity as i heard is... khm.... a little bit on the toxic side with the alpha tribes. Just as the devs who ban people because they can hurt them in the game.

This game is a "generic" survival game on a semi terraformed planet. We (the player) were send down to the surface to do smaller jobs missions) and larger jobs (operations) to the space stations owners. You start the game with nothing and you have to build up you life from the zero to a decent one while the wheather and almost every migrated animals are against you. The map what i play called Styx, this is the mid difficulty from the three what the game give you (if you buy the dlc-s). The small missions are mostly repetitive jobs like mine X amount of ore or grow some crops and some of them are defend a place against the hordes of animals after you repaired it or maybe you have to hunt down some named stronger beastly crazed animal. In the operations you get story type stuffs like you had to travel around the map and build a big house there, or you have to scan the area (which angers the local fauna) or you can mine out a shortcut between biomes. The game is mostly a chill game until you get some spicy missions or operations. You can play it in open world, or on operation at a time from zero... i mean start on a clean map near to the first objective. The devs give the game a weekly update which is good, but recently i had some issues with the performance. I already had to decrease the graphics while im still barely above 25fps. And a couple of months ago i had stable over 30. Maybe my base is too large and i had too many animals and trophies. But i want to finish the operations before i start a new season of the game on the hardest map or the easiest with a easy/hardcore character. Now im playing on hard/normal difficulty what it means that the world have increased predator population on the map and better perception. I hope this answer was good enough to decide is this similar to them or not. :)

@@theuselessgamer Yes I can see the lag while your traveling on the pet throug the different parts of the map.

@@Victor-hv1iv Thats not a big problem. I mean.. it is a problem but only because i travel on my leveled up birds. On foot or a bison pulled cart it wont be that big problem because the system have enough time to load the nearby areas in to the memory. But because i traveling so fast the game cant handle to constant load from the nvme drive to the system memory. This is a must have to improve part of the game. My vga is old and can't handle the recording + the game itself. Thats my main issue with this game.

Tell me why. And please, not only with two words....
