Porsche Cayenne S off roading and overlanding!
Whanganui, South Beach. Driving another epic beach and dunes!
A weekend away to beautiful Whanganui. This beautiful area is situated on the south western coast of the North Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand. It’s perfect for an off road day trip, but make sure you are aware of the incoming tide or you might be spending the night! It’s soft and sandy so make sure you have adequate recovery gear and rated recovery points. For the most part there is good cellphone reception and even 4G in some spots. Take enough water and food and please remember to keep our planet clean 🙏🏽 #offroad #4wd #overlanding #porsche
Please not the Thumbnail picture was not taken at South Beach, but rather Kai Iwi beach as drone flight is prohibited around South Beach due to its proximity to the Airport and other low flying zones. Stay Safe

The purpose of this video is to demonstrate that even though it would seem complicated, working on these European cars is not difficult at all. I trust the footage in this video will be of assistance should you need to change the starter on your Porsche Cayenne 955 S. Please drop a comment below if you need any further assistance. Here is the link to the step by step video I used as guidance. N...

Thank you, they are such fun cars ! I’m glad to hear your enjoying off roading these 🙌🏾
Great video. And awesome vehicle. I'm not far from Whanganui (Feilding) and now that I've seen your video, I will definitely be going there for a 'play'. Where are you located?
@@byronbarker6860 thank you, it’s a pretty cool out there. Thanks for the compliment on the car. It’s fun! I am from Wellington. You can find me on socials @955safari

Where is the exact location ?
@@sanjaykumars5859 it is called Odlins rd, Wellington New Zealand
Awesome brother I've never been to the forest I need to go for sure. 👊🏻
Is this something i could add to my cayenne s, or is it strictly a factory option? Like could i take this off another one or buy the parts off ebay and make it work?
I’m sure it could be added from a doner vehicle. There is a aftermarket rear differential lock available. You are welcome to dm on IG @955safari and I’ll try and get some information to you
Beautiful!!!
Thank you Eric 🙏🏽
Nice work. Interesting to see underneath.. thanks.
Thank you. It turned out to be pretty straightforward in the end
You should get “icarsoft por v2” scanner, especially when you are traveling remotely. I always carry it next to my spare tire
Toyota also puts their starter in the same bad place.
Interesting I was not aware ? Is it the LS?

Heyy team. Where is this in the north island ?
Ocean beach in the Wairarapa 🫴🏾💪🏾
Amazing! The sway bar disconnect option is extremely rare
It sure is!
Wow your glamorous assistant did well, nice work! Or are you dropping them on purpose..
I could never admit to that
Epic!!!
Why thanks you
Beautiful 🤩
I don't see fender flairs on Cayennes yet. I'll consider lift kit and bigger wheels when they start making good fender flairs for Cayenne.
There are options available depending on where in the world you are and what your budget is.
You go to MENU and turn the lock off and it will never lock it self again. V8 does not take 8l of oil but 9 and a half. It dsoes not have 2 oil filters but only one
Nice video brother love your ultimate beast porsche ❤
Thank you very much
Elle est longue cette vidéo et pour pas grand chose
Confusing comment? Please will you translate
Legendary video dude, greetings from Cape Town.
Thank you very much 🙏🏽
WoW......New Zealand. I will say I have always wanted to visit this island/country. I come from a big gear head family. Started off with 2nd Gen RX7's and even owned a 76 Cosmo/RX5 a little under 3 years ago. But I got bit by the german offroad stuff back in 2018 with a TH-cam page that featured the Touaregs. I got lucky on a 08 957 S with decent miles. I haven't gotten it where I want it but living in the US it is pretty easy once you get your finance in order. I have seen your content on Instagram and seen almost all your videos on TH-cam.
Thank you so much for checking out my content Kelly!
Sensing a bit of South Africa here lol
Indeed 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
I have a 4.8 v8 the the low range, center diff lock and rear lock but no clue how to use it or even know what its far i have all that n sports mode. I dont have the sway bar button tho, and thats all i have
If you have the Sport button you only have centre diff lock even though the rocker switch is the same as mine. Still a very capable car off road when fitted with good wheels and tires
Love your vibe bro, keep living life 🤙🏾
Thank you very much 🙏🏽
so the 2003-2006 Modell v6/v8 is better then the 2007-2010v6/v8?
Which one got stuck mate? 🤣
the facelift… i have the 2006 9pa 3.2 v6 love it
They are amazing cars
Your Cayenne looks very cool and stylish! I'm interested in the wheels and tires it's equipped with. Could you please provide more details such as the manufacturer and size? Thank you!
Apologies for the late reply. The wheels are MFT 18 ( discontinued unfortunately) the tires are Maxxis RAZR MT 18/65/275
Is this in northland NZ? Nice cayenne by the way bro, i got 2006 4.5L not brave enough to take her off road though lol she too nice looking.
That was on the North Island, Wellington. They are very capable off road. Chuck us a follow. I have heaps of Porsche off road content incoming 💪🏾
I wish my 957 turbo sounded like that.
💪
Do I need to do anything extra when lifting? For example, by lowering the reducer? Should I extend the drive shafts?
Hey mate, depending on the hight of the lift, the more extreme the more involved it gets. Anything from 2 inches will require a subframe drop yes
Thank you very much😅
@@krzysiekmarcin958 I’m on standard factory air
Love the cayenne bro!! Are you wgtn based? Ive got a 2012 Q7 liftd with some M/Ts that i enjoy putting thru its paces any chance i can get!! Be keen to hook up and have a capable buddy to go offroading with! Chur take care keep up the content!!
Hey, bro I sure am. You can DM me on IG @955safari or find me on Facebook or TikTok. Chur
👍
Don't take a German car where you need a land Rover. I own both Touareg V8 and Lr3 V8
Does the 3.6 engines model got this systems?
There where less than 2000 cars with this option ever built. It was a option in the v6, but if one ever got made I could not tell you unfortunately?
Recently snagged an 04' Cayenne S myself with plans to set it up for over-landing (lucky to find one who's owner got the early model year bugs sorted out including swapping the motor block under warranty when scoring became an issue). Hard to believe how reasonably priced these early Cayennes are right now? Very cool rig you have there, the advanced off-road package is super rare. But from what I have seen, the even the less well optioned models are still quite capable due to the Porsche traction management system and massive brakes (I understand the system selectively brakes a wheel that looses traction keeping you moving forward even if you have a wheel in the air). Looking forward to testing that theory out. As for fuel, it might just be the honeymoon phase, but I am happy to fill the tank up because it is such a joy to drive. There is a difference between buying fuel to get from point A to B, and filling up a tank to enjoy the journey from A to B.
You are honestly going to enjoy this car so much mate. Safe miles and check in every now and then on IG, FB or TikTok to show your build progress.
What Lanyard setup are you using?
Hey mate, thanks for watching the video. Here is a link for you 💪🏾 sunnylife.net/products/sunnylife-controller-hanger-strap-shoulder-belt-lanyard-disassembly-free-hook-for-mini-3-pro-dji-rc-rc-pro-smart-controller
I've been lending and taking off from my hood as well! Great lending spot! Love my dji4
That’s was my first go! Good to know other Cayenne owners do it as well
Beautiful trails and cool to see a different car doing adventures
Thank you, Aotearoa New Zealand have magnificent landscapes.
Anyone noticed how THICC is that steering wheel?
Nice video mate...cant wait to see what you film with the Mini 4 Pro👍🏻
Nice. Where is that beautiful location?
It’s called Red Rocks in Wellington Aotearoa New Zealand .
