Welcome to Rollin with the Roche'z
We are Greg & Vicki traveling across North America in an 2020 Airstream Globetrotter 28 . We live along the Gulf Coast of Florida so our dream was to someday get out of the Florida heat from June to November and travel across our great North American country. Along the way we will profile our camping locations, review the cities and parks and BLM lands we stay in and capture the heart of local cities. Vicki is a retired Police Detective and I am a musician. We hope to share travel experiences and advice on living this lifestyle in retirement.
We hope you come along each week as we set out to explore this great country. Cheers!

Sorry but for the PRICE, No Hut with Exit Vent over the Stove? Not for me! Thank-You!
How do you like your Brinkley over your Airstream?
Well, they are just so different, but we love the space and having a washer/dryer and king bed. It's like apples and oranges! Each has there own pluses and minuses, it is much bigger so pulling it requires a little more attention compared to the Air Stream. Love the AS for it's style and easy towing aspect. But since we are full time now, there was just no way we could have lived in it comfortably.
Yes I’m sure they are very different. We have a 25 ft FBT flying cloud and are considering the 27 ft globetrotter queen bed. We love the Airstream but would love more space. Thank you for your response and post more videos on your experience with your Brinkley. 😊
I have watched a lot of camp host videos and it seems like your duties are light, which I like! lol Is this a state, national or private park? Thank you for sharing!!
This is Juilia Phieffer State Park in Big Sur, CA
I'm sure that you're aware but that mountain is not even 11,000 ft high so I'm confused what you mean 🤯
@@Robert-qt9lg so it starts at 2650’ above sea level and rises 8250’ from its starting point. So it is over 11,000’ ft above sea level! We are from Florida so base everything on the sand.
What month and time of the day did you go?
We were there in September and took the 2:00-5:30 tour
lol. why did you leave out showing the important steps on the retaining clips?
Hey, I’m going to Indian cove next month but I don’t know what campground fits a pickup truck towing a trailer. Do you have any advice?
Indian Cove is where we stayed and there were plenty of spaces for us to fit and we were almost 50 feet long with out truck
Thanks!
Hmmmm……never knew I could hold my breath for 11.53. Lol
I busted the same window back during covid times. Took about nine months to get one. I bought a piece of plexiglass from Home Depot that happened to fit just right. Used aluminum tape to secure it in place. Worked great never leaked.
Keep in mind you can do this to any aged camper new or old and you can get air conditioners like this where it is six and one or eight and one where it’s AC heat dehumidifier humidifier fan and you can do that even in a camper as old as a 69 I did it in 69 27 foot Shasta camper
And as you guys can see where he put it is, what people is knowing it as the storage area where you store your poop hoses and septic hoses but if you end up wanting to put a window air conditioner in that same exact space, you actually can because you may or may not know, but the bumper on the vintage campers are not justto make it so that a car will not go through it but it’s also a way to hold your hoses. If you didn’t know that and you have an owners manual, take a glance at it once it’s hollow with caps for a reason.
I love your idea!!! I purchased a 1973 Scotty and I just don't know where I would put it... my partner also (prior to seeing your video) suggested a portable AC....
Oh God don't get it it doesn't work that well I'm burning up in my RV room in the back of the trailer the box says it's good for 20 something feet and I've been burning up ever since hopefully when I get paid I'm getting a window unit
Awesome
Oh it helped! I broke the glass on a side window and went through hoops with the local Airstream dealer who sold me the trailer. They gave me lip service for an entire week because their employees had no knowledge of replacing the glass. It was a horrible experience and it’s not the first time with this dealer. Sometimes you’re a winner with the dealer and sometimes you’re a loser. Most probably this was the last time I deal with this dealer.
Same to you and Greg!! Safe travels ❤❤
Very nice. Happy Birthday Greg!!
Thank you
Happy Holidays Marianne & Gary 🎄
looks so pretty!!!
Thank you! Yessss
Love all 3 places! 🥰
Does this coach come with a maid for room service for 1 year?
😊
$2.5 million USD in 2023 and $650K tops in 2035. Not a bad investment 😊.
love this so much!
Thank you so much! ❤
Would like to see the room u have to walk when slides are in going down the road ?
Fred, I have been inside them and there is plenty of walk space with the slides in allowing you to get to the fridge, mid ship bath and back bedroom suite. Next time I will video coach with the slides in, thanks!
So fun reuniting with friends and enjoying wineries 🍷
The tram doesn't take you to 11,000' and hiking from the tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinto doesn't take you to 11,000' either because it's only 10,834' tall. I believe the upper tram station is at around 8,500' above sea level. If you want to go to 11,000 feet you have a couple of peaks on the other side of the valley that will do that, the highest being San Gorgonio. I've hiked to the top of San Jacinto via several routes and the first time I ever rode the tram was as a kid in 1970 with my mom when they used the old style cars. Last time I went there they had one of those old cars on display there, I'm guessing it's probably still there. I've been on the tram many many times and I've hiked all over those mountains for the past 20+ years.
