That’s true. My only argument is that I have never seen a Magnacut by any manufacturer at less than 60. Crucible Industries says that 60-62 is the optimal hardness for Magnacut. So I don’t think this would be a problem.

I don’t get it either. I have a mix of USA and imported knives. If a knife is good it’s good. I don’t care where it’s made.

I figured the printing company screwed up and didn’t have time to reprint them. They had to import those to the USA in time for the holiday season.

I’ve been loving that fat carbon for ever since I unboxed it.

They’re my favorite part of the knife.

I prefer the white one. It has better action and it’s more fidgety. The clutch lock studs don’t protrude as far so no hot spots with a tight grip. Yes it’s a lesser steel but its design is much closer to the Bugout it’s a copy of. Some people are reporting the new orange units aren’t built as well as the original batch. I have both but didn’t open the new one because it’s going to a subscriber when I do the 500 sub livestream GAW.

That’s true but it’s become a collectible. It’s now like any of the limited edition knives out there. For example the Kizer Khaos Variant that I reviewed was $69.99 now it’s selling for $200 on eBay and Blade Binge. It’s worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

There some really good Bugout clones out there. The problem with most clones is that they’re a mystery steel so I don’t know if they’re actually better.

@@adventurefifty Yup. That is the thing when purchasing clones -- you never know what you are going to get in the way of steel. The one I have behaves like better Chinese 440C or 9Cr18 which I prefer to even the better Chinese D2 I've played with. I don't doubt there are other Bugout clones out there with steel identical to what you'll find in a dollar store knife. There is also one heck of a range when it comes to D2 steel from China. I'm not the greatest fan of even the best D2 coming out of China, but I can say it's a whole lot better than the worst. My primary interest in getting my hands on a Ozark Grail is to find out where on that spectrum it lays. From what I've seen, I'm guessing it is towards the lower end of things.

I can’t find it on the Walmart site at all. I know someone posted a YT short about it but no one has been able to confirm it. Can you provide a link?

I actually saw the the od green on the Walmart website about a week ago and randomly at like 2or 3 am but showing out of stock/unavailable but when I checked later that day it wasn’t there anymore and haven’t seen it since 🤷🏾‍♂️

They make all the knives in the Lander series to be modified easily. There’s also a huge amount of aftermarket parts available.

The patent for the Axis Lock design has expired but the trademark for the name Axis Lock doesn’t expire. So any company can make an Axis style lock but they can’t call it a n Axis lock.
