Florida Lake Sunset
As the day draws to a close, the sky transforms into a canvas of fiery hues, casting its final embrace upon the world. The sun, a molten orb, descends in a slow, graceful descent behind the rustic boathouse, its silhouette framed by the serene expanse of the lake.
The water mirrors the celestial spectacle, rippling with a gentle, golden dance, as if paying homage to the celestial performance. The boathouse, weathered by years of standing sentinel at the water's edge, takes on a warm, honeyed glow, its timeworn planks echoing the colors of the waning day.
Long, slender reeds stand sentinel along the shore, swaying in the soft caress of the evening breeze, casting elongated shadows that dance upon the water's surface. The air is imbued with a sense of tranquility, carrying with it the soothing symphony of crickets and distant lapping waves.

I bleed cubby blue, so this might be a bias take, but this was by far the greatest playoff run, and World Series ever played. The greatest game ever played was indeed on a Wednesday in Cleveland.
I'm not even a cubs fan but i was genuinely so happy for them that year. The pure joy that their postseason run brought could make every true baseball fan smile and cheer for them even if it was only for the month of october ❤
Rewatching the 2016 cures me seasonal depression
We’re going to go all the way again I’m hoping in 2023. The Cubs are going to win the World Series all over again it won’t take 108 years no ever ever again.
That was the best game 7 of all time. 8-7 in 10! I still cry to this day watching it.
Been a Cubs fan since I was a little boy and heard this played on repeat by my dad it was an amazing night when we beat Cleveland and won it all, but tbh this song still song makes me hopeful I'm also a San Francisco 49ers fan who has never seen his team the SuperBowl I will probably cry like a baby when we win.

I can just imagine that as the ball came towards him, he had flashbacks from that very first time he fielded a ball by his dad..and all those years of practice came down to this very play.

I’ve been to Chicago a few time s it have yet to go to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field but at some point I plan too even tho my favorite Cubs player Anthony Rizzo is currently a free agent i still think it’d be really fun to go

I don't ever comment on youtube...I never thought I would do or say this but it's 5 am here in Chicago and I'm bawling my eyes out...we just got rid of rizz, kb, and el mago and it fuckin hurts...but I guess its true what they say don't be sad it's over be happy it happened..and by God it did happen..love you guys..thanks for some of the greatest cubs moment of most of our lives you guys are absolutely eternal in Chicago...God bless

The next few days are going to be very hard. The core will be broken up and we may very well be waiting a long time to witness this again. I'd like to thank Kris, Kyle, Anthony, Javy, and Willson for amazing memories, and you should all be cubs for life In a perfect world. I hope the majority of you resign with the team this winter, but wherever you go I wish you nothing but the best in your careers.

17 minutes of rain ended a 108 year drought
The World Series was more than just the end of the drought. It was the end of the story; the greatest sports story ever told. The exercising of all the jinxes over the years, the bad luck, all erased. It truly did end it all. It was all over.

I'm a Mets fan (but the Cubs are my second favorite team since my dad lived in Chicago for ten years) and Game 7 of the World Series was the greatest game of baseball I've ever seen. Still gives me chills to listen to this and watch clips from that game.

I think we can all admit that no matter where you were, no matter what team you were a fan of, on that Autumn day in 2016, we all became Cubs fans. I'm a Mets fan and when I saw them win, my jaw dropped because I honestly never thought it would happen and I also got teary eyed. I want you to think about that. I shed tears of joy for a team I wasn't even a fan of and at that, often made jokes at their expense when it came to them doing it. That is the kind of sportsmanship Baseball breeds unlike the Equivalent Exchange hating NFL and its collective of expendable roid ragers.

I didn't know how a Cubs fan felt this moment until the Raptors won in Oracle Arena. I dropped to my knees and fell on my back, not wanting to wake up. Now I know.
