This is my favorite song that Deric has written. Heard this when I first talked to Deric before he came out 11 years ago. My dad was spending his last days in the hospital, and it took me back to Main Street Sidney, NE 1979. Love it!

International Harvester by Danny Myrick

What a fun song! Danny takes it up a whole different notch from the solo forward at the 3:30 mark. He takes country to some new, funky places with his little sing along. What an awesome live performance to get to sit and watch.

This song is way too much fun! And, the story behind it only makes it better. Great job Marla! What dad doesn't want to use this speech. Killer song and idea from Marla and her co-writer Casey Beathard.

Ain't Nothing 'Bout You by Rivers Rutherford
Great peek at what it might have been like to see him in a small venue. Thank you so much for sharing. Such a great artist and such a great song.
Not bad K. Blazy. A great songwriter and can see why Garth likes to partner up on writing songs with you!
Mark Otis was definitely the best blues performer in the world. I was very sad when got news about his death. R.I.P. Mark Otis Selby.
Thanks for writing this song. It touched me deeply! xo
Holy Cross Kentucky was a good place to grow up with our grandparents
Love this song, I play it often. Danny Bear was a great friend to me, I miss him
This song resonates on a whole different level when you have some life experience under your belt.
Bonito
Sad song. Guy probably lost his bales that year. It's not good when they get rained on.
Wooo! Keep it up!
I grew up in Nashville, son of a singer/songwriter, and this album was one of my family's absolute favorites. My dad and I played an open mic at Tower Books one day and I saw Don and his daughter (she was maybe 5 or 6) browsing the 2nd floor children's section. I was absolutely starstruck. Lol. At 16 years old I was WAY too nervous to approach him to say hi. Now, as an adult, I've made his music part of my family's experience. Thanks for the music Don. It goes deeply appreciated.
TH-cam needs to upgrade it's closed captioning since his accent really isn't that thick...for a Hicks!
I'm soooo lucky to have met him when I was in Nashville this february
Love this song! Wish I'd known she was behind it
Delightful!!
One of the best songs ever written and a good story I live beside one of my grandpa's I followed him around till he died when I was 8 and man I've never missed nobody like I missed him and my other grandpa also played the harmonica and everybody always told me I was just like him. I still miss them both I'm 54 now and I sure could use some of their advice now! The older I get the less I know!
This is a treasure.
NOT a huge country fan, but i do play the piano (since i was 5) ....never heard this song, i was doing some sight -reading.... i started reading the lyrics as i was playing- and i kid you not...I STRAIGHT UP BAWLED!!!!! working in assisted living....being married myself......not spending more than 3 nights away from my husband in the past 14 years <3 AND having ALL My grandparent's (even on both sides, not sure of granddaddy Sewall's??) been in assisted living themselves.....
What a talent singer! Respect from China

Written and sung by Don Henry to honour Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I love this gentle music.
Breaks my heart this wasn't number 1 all over the world.
I saw Chuck and Shawn play in Milwaukee last week, and it was incredible. I was lucky enough to be sitting in the very front, dead center. So glad i discovered this beautiful music.
Lisa sings it better than Jewel does, in my opinion.

Great hearing you again Tony! Bill Noel

Chuck Canon - A poetic genius, one of the great communicators and a real classy gentleman.
OMG! What piercing poetry is this? I feel like I just read graffiti off the outskirts of heaven. Each successive verse is laid out like a prize fight, where every blow goes deeper by degrees to leave you bewildered, weak knee'd and covered in tears before the final note plays.....just shy of being saved by the bell.
"Songwriting sensibilities beyond comprehension." Mason Van Valin
What incredible poetry. I'm honored to enter the first comment. Thank you for your genius.
awesome video, I will share with my students.
Thanks. If I can get one kid to slow down it will be worth the time of the video. Be well, and good luck working with those kids of yours. :)
