LEPANTO 2023: A devouring Fire The Drama and the -herculean- editing of its filmed sequences surprised and enchanted us. Congratulations from an Italian-French family. Enthusiastic and thrilled by the performance of the Drama LEPANTO for the 10th anniversary of the HOLY CROSS School in Kenya. Everyone: the participants, their mentors, the management: mixing tables, microphones, lighting, and the music! So serious and powerful. Everyone: behind the scenes and on stage is animated by this flame for a well-done job. The careful details: curtains which slide well to reveal the stage; costumes: Swiss Guards and their geometric colors so well rendered. The settings: the sea, the galleons, the bridge, the mast, the mouths of the cannons. The retractable stage, the small Italian village and the scene painted in a golden light, with the tiles... in the Roman style. As a filigree we can detect the precious tools: hammers, planes, saws, plasters, brushes, the magical hands of the seamstresses. The juvenile dances in fiery red and immaculate white. The two feminine messengers, who guide us along the red thread of the episodes: diaphanous, graceful, discreet, almost celestial. The Pope: serious, in turmoil of His office. The Virgin Mary appearing. Everything is thoughtful, lively, intelligent, full of meaning. The words are chiseled in fine gold. By the way, thank you! for the masterful addition of subtitles for the poor non-English speaking viewers. Bravo also and above all: For the prior recording of the soundtrack, like a safety ramp to stay on course. Short circuit proof. A titanic, fiery, scrupulous, loving work. Bravo to the stuntmen: the sword fights make the ardent defenders fly with flexible and precise movements. Enemies are pulverized and ultimately hit themselves by the fairness of the combat. The actors are linked by the same flame, no pride in Victory, but an overwhelming gratitude to Notre Dame. At the end of the getaway to Lepanto, out of the world: behind the scenes, on stage, in the hall, everyone leaves this hour transformed, fulfilled, barely touching the ground. That's wonderful. This is a great moment of Catholic creation, A.M.D.G., which will be emulated, for sure. To be diffused. Thank you and Bravi, Carissimi!
