Speaking of marketing, this art and the whole trailer seems 100% inspired in "Hollywood", Ryan Murphy's TV show. With the characters rising up to a billboard, with all their obstacles in their way. Love it though!!

If the female lead isn't going to do a Liza knock-out, 1-2-punch on these songs, then why bother? Liza looked absolutely HORRIBLE in the movie version, but she sang the bejeezus out of these Kander & Ebb tunes. The woman here seems ordinary. I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be interested to see what work they've done to the book, the film had great songs and cinematography but the script was a mess. Hopefully the stage adaptation can polish it up and make it work.

Sad really, Broadway is DEAD! The tourists are not coming back (and why should people pay a premium price to get assaulted on the streets and in the subways by homeless and gang bangers!?!) and the tourist were the only thing keeping the corruption of entertainment afloat (where people pulling curtains made five times more than the actors!?!) and who wants WOKE propaganda with uninspired music set to movies that never needed to be sung??? Casting by race used to be a novelty. Now it’s Cultural Marxism meant to prove that only ‘white’ people are racist… the only MESSAGE of the $100/$200 tickets 🎟 being demanded today… so let it die. Maybe in a hundred years people will return to the Theatre to laugh, to cry, to love or lie… and leave the LECTURES for the Socialist Secular Egalitarian pulpits….
