Well this is basically unavoidable. Unless you build all rail under ground or elevate it..or build walls around all tracks, this will keep on happening

I don't get it. Animals chilling off to the side in safety, see train coming. "OK let's go run in front of the train NOW instead of waiting. NO, don't run away, off to the side in the bushes, run IN FRONT of it."
Really really not one of God's more intelligent creatures. I know that squirrels, deer, etc interpret an oncoming large moving vehicle as a predator and they think that they're avoiding it by running right into its path in some weird way, but man...stupid is as stupid does.
