    i love early stone cold before he became the gimmicked out baby face who flips off the ceiling all the time and pretends to drink beer foam. i hated his avalanche of gimmicks when he was baby face. same reason i dont like watching old Hogan matches now, the avalanche of gimmicks is just nauseating after you're seen it a couple times.

    Not sure why people hate bret. Yes he's too bitter, yes he is his own biggest fan. But why hate him? Man has been through alot. I don't see what hes done to warrant all the hate. In the ring he was better than 98% of any wrestlers

    One of my favorite moments of the match that I wish they would have touched on was Vince's reaction to the blood. You can tell it made him uncomfortable, he mentions that they may have to stop the match and that it would technically count as a submission by Stone Cold, which didn't really make sense lol. Very quickly Vince can see the magic that's happening and gets over it. He then goes on to say that this doesn't happen that often in the WWF, almost a message directly to the sponsors lol.

    One of... If not THE greatest matches in the history of PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING (🤬 you, Vince!)! This was a Bret Hart mastercraft; and the fact that Steve was the other guy was absolutely perfect. Some might call it a perfect storm, because the opponents were perfect for each other; and both Bret and Steve were on a level beyond anyone else.

    Stone cold is perhaps the greatest Babyface or Raw Superstar, but Bret Hart will go down as perhaps the greatest wrestler. Brett is truly a great storyteller and has great instinct on what should be done in the ring. We all know that Vince McMahon is a genius, but Bret Hart saw the potential in Stone Cold Steve Austin first. I think that says a lot about Bret Hart. I know that Bret Hart struggled later in his career with being a face in the USA, but he still remains a great international Superstar.

    The only idiots who still hold a grudge against Bret are ones who have their mind made up about him. There could be a story about Bret saving 20 people from a burning building and those same idiots will say Bret only did it for attention.

    • @mctavish4496
      @mctavish4496 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. I started watching the WWF in the late 1980's and my friends were either fans of Hogan or the Ultimate Warrior. I, on the other hand, was a big fan of Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation. Along with Jake Roberts, Mr Perfect and Rick Rude. I always liked the guys who were great in the ring and weren't huge muscleheads that would just scream into the camera and have 2 moves in the ring. Bret is one of the best blokes ever at telling a story in the ring and being able to make his matches great with whoever his opponent was. I remember the King of the Ring 1993. He had 3 matches that night against 3 totally different opponents and 3 totally different styles and each match was different, yet still great. Or very good at least.

    • @kant5696
      @kant5696 ปีที่แล้ว

      The knock on bret was he took himself too seriously but i think because of that is why his work in the ring was the best or top 3 in my opinion. Today, these guys dont care about ring psychology, selling. Let do as many impact moves and flips as we can in 30-40 min and get as many pops as possible

    • @christhornycroft3686
      @christhornycroft3686 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because for a lot of them, they’re marks and their biggest memory of Bret is him telling the truth about their precious country. All you have to do to be a heel in America is tell the truth. If you use specifics and are nuanced, even better. You get nuclear heat.
