Just wondered would it use any more fuel with a longer exaust.i put mine on alpine and fuel consumption went from2 and a half litres for 30 hours two 1.8 for 30 hours

I've put one in about 1 metre copper pipe hope to add a radiator at somepoint

These Chinese oil burners are excellent; however, I wish they could be fitted with a radiator, as they can be noisy if seated nearby.

Do you have a gas supply to your house? Would be genuinely interested to see the cost comparison because I personally can't see how this can be cheaper

Nice application, well done. I have the campervan version of one of these in my van and they are brilliant. Some problem areas I have discovered, is that the fan needs to be cleaned/inspected at least every six months as it's amazing how much dust is sucked in. Also, the hot air duct out of the heater can loosen off the jubilee clip. One thing I would recommend for your setup, is that something heavy is put on the lid to stop it blowing away in a gale; water ingress would kill the whole shabang!

I see in your link all the parts. What parts do you have for your set up on the video. Looks well built. Looking for similar idea for summerhouse and want it plugged into the mains like yours.

You got to be looking at other videos right Should I need to use water or air to heat up your electricity to heat up your sand and that needs to be stored in a highly insulated container so you don't lose the heat. You can use used car oil and add 10% diesel or kerosene, then add 130% water, but the water must be ionized, then put the entire amount in a blender until the color of the milk becomes white. Of course, it is preferable to filter the used car oil before using it, and the best thing is to use the centrifugal process with a strong magnet. You will have a very clean combustion and it will burn 100/💯 without clogging the device from the inside with carbon, and the exhaust will also be clean and the amount of fuel will double by adding ionized water. I use 300 grams of Senap Mild to bind the ionized water with diesel, used oil, or kerosene.

I would be interested to know if heating like this is cheaper than mains gas. If you have mains gas and electric in your house you have to pay a standing charge per day whether you use it or not. I have a chinese diesel heater in my motorhome so I know a bit about them. I used to be a gas and oil boiler technician.

lol smart, its like the same design heat exchanger as the heater itself. i think the tube is too long for that fan. if the outer tube (not the inner exhaust tube) was kinked a bit it would have more turbulence and improve heat exchange. could probably run 2-3 fans on low setting like 5v cpu fans

Very inefficient. You are taking outside air, heat it up and push it into your house. At the same time warm air will pour out of your house into the outdoors, since your house is not airtight. In order to make this setup somewhat efficient you need to close the loop by taking the inlet air for the heater from the house.

Will it work on 0.8 oxyacetylene tip?

Double chimneys, usually combustion gasses rise inside pipe with fins warming up the incoming air then going into the combustion chamber. This ensures any sucked in combustion gasses go thru combustion cycle again. Cooling of exhaust gasses need to be done outside with a bottom drain piped to the sewage line. If your setup gets a leak because of corrosion carbon monoxide may escape.

The longer the exhaust pipe, I heard, can restrict the exhaust flow due to its small diameter. I was told this info as I seem to make the mistake of not running the exhaust pipe lower than the machine. It cost me a machine. I was using a 2-meter-long pipe, approx.

Jeez, I always reset my trip when filling the tank. I did so yesterday, and this strange countdown happened... I clicked that the ignition was not on and left the countdown, then reset the trip... only to get a warning bleep and that triangle sign to appear within less than a mile... had a sleepless with what I've seen on forums. Hope this does the trick... And Thanks👍

Stop overlooking the obvious - it will always use more fuel to heat cold outside air than recirculating interior air.

As a pensioner with the fuel supplement removed, I have resisted switching on the gas central heating for as long as possible. My CDH is fitted to the dining room, (13' x 12'), and I run it when the temperature drops below 16 degrees indoors. It runs for 1/2 an hour at 3Hz setting, then down to 2Hz for the rest of the day, with 1/4 hr at 4Hz before shutdown. My pre-winter inspection showed the internals to be spotless. Consumption is near enough 1 litre per 6 hours. I use Kero at 63p per litre, so including the petrol cost to collect the kero, it's about 11p per hour. The heating value of kero is lower than diesel: 10.35 kWh per litre for kero. (compared to about 10.7 kWh for diesel) The kero burned is about 1.725kWh per hour. Allowing for about 85% efficiency, that's about 1.5 kWh for 11p, or 7.5p per kWh of actual heat input to the house. My gas costs me about the same per kWh.

There designed to go through the wall so the clown that designed them gives u just enouth pipe to go through the wall meaning the control panel is unacesable because its ramed against the wall😢 and the feet are to short 😮

I am very interested in how this radiator would work in a sand box to store the heat. That way the exhaust gives you slow heating of the room and the air gives you the instant heating of the room. If that makes sense. Its effectively a rocket mass heater
