Still the same, I'm not long winded and no fluff here, I do things "old school" the same as 70's/80's when these old cars were daily driven and hot rodded. I am in no way telling anyone to do what I do, it's all my opinions and the way we did things back in the day. Thanks for stopping in ð

I posted this one about a year ago but no one believed me. Now that Tony Defeo aka Uncle Tony put up his last video and tightened up mine I put it back up. It's about the cams and lifters about halfway through but there's a lot more to the "bitch session" lol I got cut off but see part 2 for the rest.

Edelbrock 1405 rebuild part 3 easy peasy
āļĄāļļāļĄāļĄāļāļ 6928 āļ§āļąāļāļāļĩāđāļāđāļēāļāļĄāļē
Well the 1405 is done and will run like new now. I already had jets and needle and seats in so as not to disturb the already set floats. Sorry about the wait on the rebuild due to late parts and a cheap junk rebuild kit. Oh and what I said about the 13/32" on the secondary opening measurement should be 11/32" from the primary butterfly to the bore opening, sorry about that. #edelbrock #carburet...
Edelbrock WARNING, DON'T BUY EBAY JUNK!!!
āļĄāļļāļĄāļĄāļāļ 85āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđāļāļ·āļāļāļāđāļāļ
I bought this junk off an ebay vendor and will never buy his junk ever again. I saved NOTHING from this purchase and it will cost me more in the long run. No screens for the needle and seat, no inlet screen, no inlet washer, no float retainer pins, no choke O ring and cheap thin wrong gaskets. #edelbrock #carburetor #carburetorcleaning #carburetorrebuilding #carburetorrepair #mechanic #classiccars

Take your time guys, don't be in a rush to spend big money. I just scored over $200 worth of parts and a rebuildable carburetor for $100 and you can too. You just have to be patient and look for the deals, then jump on them.

āļĄāļļāļĄāļĄāļāļ 48āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđāļāļ·āļāļāļāđāļāļ
I'm a little lean so I'm just doing a quick rod change to a smaller one for a little more fuel in cruise mode. Just showing how fast and easy it is on these carbs. Bad camera man but you get what I'm doing. I'll get better with the camera soon lol
Just some after thoughts on being old school for us with not much money. Read the description below.

This is just an old guy's afterthought for guys young or old like me who can't spend a lot of money throwing expensive parts at our cars. You can still have fun with whatever you can afford and still feed the family. Enjoy the hobby my friends, Thanks for watching ð

The King of Obsolete has two and uses them to hall and tow sleds as soon as the snow trails are made
Intrigued by this fellow - I only learnt there were gasoline Lombards, as I'd totally associated them with steam engines. Quite fascinated that what I assume are track tensioning rollers on the rear bogie also have chain tracks. Most unusual, anf glad to see that at least one has survived.
There are others at the museum in Bradley Maine and a few other places around the country. Very unique machines, thanks for stopping in ð
Moved from Wisconsin to the south, best move ever for car guys...lol.
Thanks, same back at you Mike
I never knew about that secondary measurement with the linkage. Good job
Nothing is affordable these days hope the parts get delivered to you soon Mike
This is how i do things too brother. Ive been piecing together a d200 for better than a year with the cheapest parts i can find. Im under budget tganks to ebay and some swapping
Thats exactly what I do, just a little at a time within a budget. Took me a couple years to get most of what I needed for my car.
People donât understand the importance of finding dealsâĶ the never ending need for parts at a good price can really add financial stress. I always look for used but well maintained parts and tools.
I think some would rather spend a lot due to not knowing how to rebuild/refurbish things and I guess I can't blame them but knowledge and learning is always key in my opinion. I guess because I never had much money to spend on my hobby I had no choice but to learn how things work and just refurbish them plus, I'm cheap lol
You might be better with a 104 jet and that 7547 rod. The 7047 might not gain you anything on the cruising speed with the 101 jet just my 2 cents. Also are the springs working when you give the throttle a good blip?
Thanks, I will find out and yes the step up springs are working fine and if anything I might try a heavier spring ð
All the Barret Jackson televised auctions really messed things up. I agree 100% prices are just to high for junk as a starting point. Better off to get a loan and a car thats road worthy.
Still mad I missed the show.
Nice job, steady reading on that meter ððŧ
Thanks Mar-k running great now that I fixed my mistake on the dual point I showed in the other 2 videos lol
I have one still in the box
Good job
thanks bud I'm getting old and forget stuff I guess lol
Iv got one man there good oldies
I think maybe you got your money's worth out of it or close to it anyway ðĪ
Older stuff was made so robust. Thatâs when companies actually made stuff to last. If that was made recently, it wouldnât work 4 years later, let alone 40.
You got that right, I agree 100%
I could say the same thing about myself âĪðbut 59 yrs old and still working
Really neat thanks for sharing ð
Thanks for stopping in!! These old machines would haul logs on sleds through snow like a train hauls box cars.
Looks like a Barracuda. I have a good green dash for a 68 like that. I have the mini tach in dash where original fit. Is that a big block car? Sounds good!
Hi Stephen, no its a 318 that I replaced with a 360 and converted to a 4 speed back in May. Thanks bud ð
I wish I had a big block lol
Nice!
