I used to be stuck in the freeze/shutdown response most my time for decades from an extremely bad case of CPTSD. I am adjusted now with a regulated nervous system, and each day of my life is a blessing. I used to wait in live till the day I would be release from my cage by death. Now I know what it is to be alive. I used Somatic Practices with Hemi-Sync meditation series. I know several others I have met that have had similar liberations. There is hope. If you do have the freeze state because of traumatic events in your life, look into the gateway experience today. It works.
Glad that you found the ways to help you feel unstuck and released from your "cage". It is powerful.
Great podcast! I too have the same addictive personality. As a musician, I also fell into the trap of thinking that I needed drugs or alcohol to be creative or make interesting music and artwork. Most of my best work was created sober, proving that theory incorrect. I have kicked addiction many times and I'm glad to say that this is the longest I've ever been sober since my teens. So, everything you both said resonated with me as I've been through it and have used the law of attraction to manifest a sober, fulfilling life. Self love and self worth definitely go hand in hand. Thanks Coach Jewels and Mary Beth!
We appreciate your sharing your story. It is so good to hear that you can be sober and creative. Thank you for your kind words. Because of people like you, our podcast exists. Keep up a good work. How do you define self-love?
Thank you for watching and commenting, Brandon! That’s so awesome that you are sober! I agree that I’m more creative when I have the clarity of sobriety… I used to convince myself of the same thing 😆 We stopped lying to ourselves, YAY!!!!
@@DayOneLifeCoaching yes indeed. Vision is crystal clear. All systems GO!!
@@jewelsinbody aww! <3 I define self love as loving all that is, as myself; as one. Non-judgement. Forgiveness. Respecting everyone, and everything; regardless of different views or lifestyles. We can all achieve balance together through unconditional love. <3 That is my version of self-love. <3
@@BrandonCharpentier It is a beautiful definition. Thank you for sharing it. I can totally relate to all you said.
