Now if I recall rightly Dandelions perk up your soil a load by having ridiculously deep roots but they tend to disappear once they have made your soil more productive although the leaves are great in a salad. Personally, rather than buying fertilizer my strategy is less complicated: I live by the sea hence I have Gulls on my roof, I don't know if you know much about Gulls but they are like a flying cow in that they shit copious amounts all over the place. I collect the rain water and the subsequent moss and let it rot a for a while in a large water butt. Works well enough for me. I have a friend that uses fish-tank water and fermented nettles which seems to work well for him. I suppose its a case of using what you got. Best Wishes Bruv
