Eric’s music and writing were crucially important in my formation as an adult. It was a place where I could both yearn and ache for the well-being of others, while also confronting my disappointment with both my country and my faith. With in that special space in my car, I started to allow myself to be critical of and think about these big topics. I am extremely grateful to all my friends go had your CDs shipped to their house so I could smuggle it into my own. And to my local post office, where I rented out a mailbox to smuggle more music and things that I enjoyed. That music was a big part of me, escaping an abusive home and religion. I just found out about this new album. I have not been able to go to sleep because I just have to listen to it!
