Stayed there in one of the units on the 8th floor I think. Wonderful place except for the 24/7 barking dogs and roosters making noise. The waves are also very loud since the bedroom is on the beach side. It would be good to get AC to drown out the night noises. But the beach was fab! Snorkel and play in the waves, saw lots of turtles an really enjoyed just walking out the door and down to the sand.

Was planning on buying a Condo in HI, around Waikiki outright. No morgage or interest payments. It would cost ~ $1000 / month due to HOA, which included utilities. I was renting a small studio apartment for $900, including utilities. HOAs are a scam.

Correct pronunciations of buildings and restaurants would be good.
Don't be so sanctimonious. There's no way you pronounce every single English, Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, Vietnamese, Korean word correctly. Don't act like you're superior, and that you've never in your life pronounced something incorrectly. 🙄
