@@3DMusketeers I checked the zhop which shows as enabled. so i went into the filament settings and set it to over ride the default and it printed supports fine. need to do a couple more but i think the zhop needed to be forced.

I have tried everything with slowing it down to bigger brims. im going to try strong supports next and see. It works good with standard supports just not tree

@@GETS3DPrinting Using gluestick , maybe go real slow on first layer , etc. I have not printed any support requiring stuff yet though .

mines had no issues. many others have had no issues. Contact Qidi support and they will take care of it. Bambu labs are good printers but behind on the times and locked down.

Mine arrived with faulty chamber heater. Support takes forever to reply. Waste of money.

@@cnx00x they will respond and usually are pretty quick. i think they are inundated with tickets right now due to the ssr issue.

@@GETS3DPrinting - It's nice yours has had no issues. Fact is, MANY others have had serious issues with this printer, as well as the previous iterations before it. Qidi, like Creality, are well known for sending cherry-picked units to TH-camrs for review, while actual customers get machines that barely work, if at all, or constantly break. This is why nobody trusts these brands anymore. Their support typically only respond in a timely manner to TH-camrs, not actual customers, leaving people feeling like they've wasted their money on a cheap brick that won't print anything. Bambu printers, on the other hand, just work, right out of the box. Nothing is perfect, but their failure rate is miniscule, support is very fast, and their depth of parts infrastructure is unmatched. It's interesting that you said Bambu is behind the times, when literally everyone is still playing catch-up after the release of the X1C. Nobody has caught or outdone that machine yet. That's not exactly behind the times. The worst thing you can say about Bambu at the moment is they have relatively small build volume compared to the rest of the pack. And Bambu isn't locked down, either. You can use their printers without a cloud account with them, without using their slicer or app. Just pick your slicer, add whatever Bambu printer you have, and print. Of course, they'd like you to use their stuff, but you definitely don't HAVE to. Not like Creality, where you have to sign up for a cloud account and download their app just to turn the K2 on and get through initial setup. Otherwise, it won't work. THAT'S locked down. In all honesty, I've been waiting for a larger build volume Bambu for some time, but if one of these other companies actually stopped screwing around and made a larger build-volume printer that's as solid and reliable as Bambu, I'd buy theirs. I don't really care about brand. These are all Chinese companies, headquartered in the same city, doing the same thing. I just want a solid printer that will just print well, not break, and last me a long time. It's not that hard. Bambu have done it. If these other companies put some effort into it, people would be buying their printers instead and saying, "Bambu who?"
