Lee Pace's Thranduil and Richard Armitage's Thranduil have character development and personality than in the Hobbit book.
In The Hobbit book, I always find it anti-clamitc that Thorin Oakenshield somehow snaps out of his dragon sickness when the Battle of the Five Armies begins without any character development that he cause him over come his sickness.
I like Richard Armitage's Thorin Oakenshield more than his The Hobbit book counterpart.
He's so majestic (and he made Thorin so as well). Period.
