They are so tiny awww😂
Thanks for watching
Glad i watched. Ive just got w to sort out my black beard algea problem. Then may put them in the shrimp tank for a week to clear the hair algea
Thanks for watching
look like citra citra is kinda soft personality than other softshell species
This was at the top of my recommended and i am not upset
Thank for watching
Hey wake up we got swimming to do!
😅 Thanks for watching
How many do you have and what size tank and is all still good?
I just learned the hard way- after getting over 100 cherry shrimp- that SAE's eat cherry shrimp. They DECIMATED my population before I could figure out what happened. And now, because they're so fast and my tank is so planted, I can't catch the fast lil f*ckers to get them out. I have tried for hours. Advice appreciated
I would try building a pop bottle trap and bait it with Algae wafers. Good luck they are fast as hell
@@mrfinsfish745 Never heard of that! Are there instructions anywhere?
th-cam.com/users/shortsjfFMHux8DvE?feature=share
Put a net below them, let them calm down and then scoop up. Works almost everytime. Works on almost every fish actually. If you chase them too quick they run
If I got a filter already can I still use the sponge one or just use the sponge one ?
You can typically add a sponge filter without issues, I hope that answers your question.
Tanking a small brush too the hair algee swirling it can help keep hair algee down with regular maintenance, but Otto's are so much more fun love my 6😁✌️
Thanks for watching
I have a top filter (Venus Aqua U6600). Do the babies possibly get into the inlet?
Their stripe doesn't go thru their back fin so from my understanding they are not siamese algae eaters
Sorry for replying to your year old comment haha. The black stripe does indeed go all the way to the fins, I have 2 SAEs and they have the exac same stripe situation
There'll thesane iv u modified um its easy
Thanks for watching, I agree...we just did a side by side out of the box comparison.
is it ok to pair wherein the male is bigger than the female?
Yes, they won't spawn until she is ready.
I do like the sound of bubbling tanks!
I hate you right now because you put one angel fish in there. Put 2 in there so they can at least die together
Thanks for watching! He is still alive and kicking! Often 1 or many is better they will fight to the death if only 2.
Ty for this I’m breeding long fin bristles soon and needed to know if I could keep other fish with them
Thanks for watching! And good luck
You can tell the CO-OP Sponge filter is very poorly made as it shouldn't have air coming out of the top of the sponge like that, it would mean the sponge filter is only running 50% As for the ken filter is a much better filter because it can handle hi volumes of air being pushed through it , Ken's one can run at 100% which makes it a way better filter .. The Grey filter you can see is a better Quilty filter ..
Thanks for watching
2 weeks ago, I added 5 SAE in my 20g long shrimp tank to battle Blackbeard algae. Now, I don’t see any baby shrimps. Doing my water change today and will move the SAEs in my main display. They took care of the algae really well and if it ever comes back, I’ll just drop the infected hardscape to the main tank for the SAE to take care of.
Thanks for watching
Killed almost all my adult guppies
How?
awesome sharing, like 4
nice video. when do you remove them from your tank? they eat at all or they left over the outside part and eat only the inside?
They normally eat them all if you feed French cut. If not you have to remove the stringy part the next day, Thanks for watching
@@mrfinsfish745 thank you. i ordred del monte french cut green bean but i just saw that there is sea salt added... is it okay to feed this?... thank you.
@@ichokimsh no problem st all that I have ever noticed
@@mrfinsfish745 thanks! i'm sorry to ask u again but for the last... how many pieces of green bean should I feed to my 13 britstlenose plecos? their size is mostly 5cm
Hey so i went for a 2 weeks holiday and when i got back i found out that there are a lot of angelfish fry in my community tank. So do i need to move my other fish to another tank or should i just leave them alone?
what did you end up doing.
Interesting video the place, guessing there is no large tank with a sea tube walk through?
Thanks for watching
You are correct it doesn't have a walk through tunnel
@@mrfinsfish745 Thanks.
You're thinking of the aquarium in Toronto, the Riply's believe it or not aquarium. The Niagara falls one is quite small.
@@camb9274but they are under going an expansion to bring 16 new exhibits and a host of new wildlife. The project is called Great Lakes 360
Citra citra is the most rare softshell, in my country maybe we lost population in the wild
That is unfortunate 😕 hopefully ones in captivity can be used to restart wild populations! Thank you for watching
Apparently Flying fox and Chinese algae eaters are often mistakenly sold as siamese algae eaters, both will eat baby shrimp sadly.
Thanks for watching
Same filter, same issue with suction at the flow adjustment lever opening. I've noticed that adjusting the flow between min and max doesn't really seem to make a huge bit of difference in the flow, in that the minimum flow is not really all that much less than when set at the maximum flow. Since the flow doesn't really change that much, I'd suggest setting it where you like and then using some aquarium-safe silicone, just put a little dab of silicone over the entire slot, sealing it closed. Let it cure for a day or two, and back in the tank. Problem solved. As an aside, one TH-camr placed the entire filter into a media bag, cutting 4 small holes for the suction cups. Problem solved for her although I'm guessing it will require more maintenance due to the bag's mesh clogging much quicker than the OEM foam would.
Great information, thanks for the idea 💡
You said don't do this keep your fish healthy? Only cannisters in my tanks, Quieter, cleaner, and easier to clean!
Thanks for the watching, I should have phrased that better....like don't try this at home😅 no fish were harmed making this video I tested the water consistently. Thanks again
@@raimundosantana Thanks for watching
i have had success breeding them also do the green beans sink?
Nice👍 yes the French cut green beans sink.
Bruh my 2 adult SAE just eat my 20+ semi adult RCS within 2night 😥,,, But they are great at algae eating
Air lift pumps work better with large bubbles. You might try running the air tube through the bottom-side straight to the bottom of the filter instead of through the center, if possible then you could cut out all the plastic in the center tube.
Thank you for watching
your tank needs a cleaning
Thanks for watching
Do they re grow fins? Red devil bit most of his pectoral fin off and now 4 days later is gone. Will it grow back or is the poor guy doomed
Ouch! fins in general can grow back in my experience as long as not to much was damaged. But that Devil likely won't stop until that fish is dead. I would separate them as soon as you can. Good luck and thanks for watching
@@mrfinsfish745 the whole fin is gone. Devil bit through spiny part then rest fell off few days later. Looks to be healing up but not sure if it'll re grow. Fish is only about 2 in. Other tanks have super aggressive baby jags and a big leopard pleco and daughter has a 11im flowerhorn in her tank so this is best option. Wondering if devil didn't mistake him for krill because he's never messed with him before or since. If he does I'll set up my empty 29 gal for him till he grows up some more.
@@chrisjones6165 That sounds like it will not grow back. I do hope they get along, good luck 👍
@@mrfinsfish745 thanks for response. Hoping for the best but part of keeping assholes for fish as the local fish store owner calls my choice in fish lol. Spotted leopard pleco with jags is fine so sometimes it works sometimes it don't.
Would you recommend to use the filter when breeding guppies
Thanks for watching! I think the issue is more with the nature of Plecos cleaning everything and getting into tight spots.....so I think they would be ok just keep an eye on them.
No never
Thanks,. Just checking out your vid. As I type this, my angels are spawning.. Almost same pairing as yours but the female is all black long fin. I had separated them a while back because the black one wasn't doing well and was laying at the bottom. It was doing what previously its brother/sister did before they died and since I got them from my uncle who passed away beginning of this year I did not want to lose it too. So she (now i know the sex lol ) was moved to a community 55 I have for a few months now and rebounded. So less than a week ago I moved the Striped one to the 55 from the original 29, because it was trying to eat all the bristle nose babies in there. Also figured the 55 is better for angels and see if they would get along this time... Well, looks like they are!.. Was looking for tips. As for moving the eggs.. unfortunately they are on a long piece of wood. So was thinking of putting them in a empty 10 gal I can set up. I have hard city water he in Central Florida and my parameters are not ideal either. Guess we will see what happens.
That's awesome👍 good luck with the babies. I would definitely move them to a 10gal using 2.5 gal of the parent tank to start then add over the next few days like doing water changes without removing until full. Then get on your water change schedule. You can move that stick with no issues just fo it quickly, make sure you get your airstream close to maintain water movement. And finally get baby brine shrimp ready to go. Best of luck.
@@mrfinsfish745 Thanks. Will do. Should I use Methylene blue?
It can help alot...I don't unless I have problems with all the eggs getting fungus. You may not have fertile eggs the first few spawns also angles have tones of babies hundreds....so you may not want that many at once! Local stores typically don't want hundreds at one time, they can get costly to feed.
@@mrfinsfish745 Yes I've used it with Cory eggs. If they are successful and many survive. I'll try an sell them locally on CL for a dollar or two.
very nice
Thanks
I would go with the hydro sponge every day of the week... Aqurium co-ops has short lift tube and low budget!
Thanks for watching
It is like with a chimney, the longer the pipe the more draft there is in a chimney, same with your filter.
Great prospective I agree, thanks for watching
hair algae is not black beard algae get your title correct

I like the fact that as a youtube, you still reply to all comments! And I like Aquarium Co-op because I live close to them and I enjoy their videos. But mainly have to say that I don't even use sponge filters yet; they are still in the mail.
Thank you for watching and commenting, I like the coop filter better as well 😀
Nice
Thanks

Omg the ‘sexy times’ music 😹
Great video quality. Love the editing!
Thank you
Have purchased both; prefer the Aquarium Co-op re: their sponges are coarser, sizes more nano tank friendly; found even the smallest size of the Hydro was still way too big; Aquarium Co-op is pocket friendly towards the beginner; running their nano size in my tank(s) paired with the Ziss airstone placed inside (finer bubbles)
Thank you for your information and as always thanks for watching
Hi! Does the L144 eat cherry shrimps babies? Or is it safe to keep them together?
Thanks for watching, I find anything that is big enough to eat them will. That being said I keep cherry shrimp with BN Plecos and the do fine. If you are just trying to get numbers do an cherry shrimp only tank.
