Inside Out 1 is a core memory. You don’t want anyone touching it because it’s already perfect. Then here comes Inside Out 2.
There’s 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 that it might ruin that memory. But just like what the first film taught us, we should welcome possible changes and improvements in our lives. So here it goes... Face our 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, go inside the theater, and watch Inside Out 2 with high expectations.
After watching, you’ll realize those expectations were not just met but also exceeded. You’ll be outside the theater, feeling 𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹 that this sequel exists. If you love the part one, then it’s a guarantee that you’ll also love the part two.
New emotions. New chapter. New story.
But all of them felt like home.
Everything you’re about to feel in this movie is not really new, because we have experienced these things one way or another in our lives. The situation may not be exactly the same, but the feelings were all too familiar. It’s our life that we are watching on the big screen.
This animation film makes you feel alive, seen, and validated as a person.
The voice overs are close to being tangible; you wanna hug everything you hear. If a scene is 𝘀𝗮𝗱, then the scoring has the power to make it even sadder. 𝗘𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗶 or boredom won’t be felt while watching this movie since every scene is gripping. The lines are thought-provoking. Too many ideas and concepts are popping all at once, but that’s not something to be 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆 about because it’s a depiction of our lives. Instead, we should embrace it.
The climax part is an ultimate tearjerker, piercing right through your heart. You can’t help but cry. Don’t be 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱. Everybody else is crying too, because apparently, everyone has feelings. Not a sarcasm.
In some other cases, you’d feel 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 when a franchise tries to piggyback the success of the original movie. But in this particular case, other movies should be 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 and take down notes of how Inside Out 2 has done it perfectly.
Without jeopardizing or overpowering its predecessor, Inside Out 2 created its own mark and beauty that deserve a permanent spot as one of the best animation films of all time-along with Inside Out 1.
Having a powerful message that encompasses literally everyone, it’s a movie that deserves to be seen by people of all ages.
If Inside Out 1 is a core memory, then make some space for Inside Out 2 because they should be rightfully placed next to each other.
Watch this movie.
