I was there and stood to the right of the stage …Ceremony blew my head off and remains my all time favorite moment from a gig in Brighton in those lovely days of £2/3 a ticket! Anyone else see U2 at streems in front 50 Thursday night regulars? I think it was Thursdays….most people sat drinking their beer while U2 cranked out I will follow !
Clasico !!!!
Bernie seems to be struggling with the mic stand there at the end of
Best electro-rock band ever…,
Ian Looks down with content when they play this.
About 18n19 he loolks here
I was there - such intensity!
Incredible video of where it all began for New Order. Magnificent job from all!!
This is a great performance of my fav album of theirs. Thank you so much for posting.
Hookey haming it up
PLAY IT LOUD.
There's not one bad song on technique
They look somewhat pissed that Ians not there.
What a treat to watch this, they seem vulnerable somehow, but the music is haunting , still has a JD edge to it.Thank you. R.I.P.Ian you legend.
4:25 I’m loving Barney’s guitar 😊
Amazing version, Gillian’s guitar sounds terrific
I saw NO in Paris in 1982. They didnt play any JD songs excepts Movement. I knew later that it was a JD song.
The best New Order
❤
Love Hook in this this!
I remember listening to Movement on the morning after a bad acid trip. It's had a special place in my heart ever since.
This is what the original should have sounded like before Bernard more or less mixed out Hooky's bass
Brilliant. My favourite band
How good is this? Wasn't expecting such a tight performance but this was fantastic!
Hooky is channeling dave grohl and im here for it!!!
Man!! I've not seen this since the oringinal transmission, pun intended. I asked my Dad to scale our tiny council house loft and twist the aerial from Yorkshire to Granada to get the signal and, bless him, he did a grand job. "As it finished yet it's doing my head in up here!" Hull was on it... Many thanks for this and all the other performances you have let me re live. I am in my element.
Harir, clothes, music...man this takes me back.
This music is empty. The spirit of Joy Division is far far away from here...THERE'S ONLY EMPTY PLACE LEFT
My son if you do not appreciate this haunting brilliance then it is your soul that is empty. Go now and nourish your soul.
You can see how hard it is on Bernard. He seems to keep forgetting he’s the singer.
Hooky’s bass at ground level - Legend.
"Vanishing Point" then this was and is a righteous way to end a perfect album.
Dire renditions of songs which were pretty poor (Ceremony excepted) to begin with. Hooky and Steve Morris do their best to keep it together, but Bernard and Gillian really let the side down badly. A portent of ropey live performances to come. No wonder Bernard hated playing live
