Underwhelming to you, but a castle worthy of pride for the homeowners. That's how we feel about every property, ranging from studio apartment to sprawling estate. Each of us who have a home can and should be proud of where we live. Everyone has freedom to their own opinion, and not every home is suited to every person or family. In fact, the hunt for the right home is a process of elimination of all our dislikes until we find the place that taps into our emotional need to make that home OUR home. Best wishes.

You're absolutely right - maybe $300k or $400k if in Charles Village. In fact, throughout the Midwest and South, this price tag would fetch significantly more interior square footage in a detached property sitting on acreage. But people continue moving to DC for work or lifestyle, and want to live close to the nation's capital. Over the last decade, Petworth has been one of the neighborhoods where people actually find more room for less money by DC standards.

TRACKS! My underground home, and it was for so many of us! And Capital Ballroom, Nation, Wet - when my big little city was at its best & full of soul and surprise. #OGDC
We are glad not to be the only ones nostalgic about those days. For some of us, the dance floors at TRACKS offered some of the most secure places of freedom of the times - despite the club's dicey surroundings. The entire neighborhood was a vast adult playground by night.
