Cheaply made transmissions, no check stick and forced to take it to a mechanic or dealer just to check the transmission level. That means that if there's a transmission leak then the owner can't check the level themselves and add fluid and can cause even more transmission damage or failure if they can't make it to a mechanic or dealer and either stuck or pay even more money towing the car when all it just needs is a few pints of fluid. Way to go GM.
