    hi! Is the counter clock wise and clockwise important in this? the counter clockwise is almost impossible for me to do 🥲

    • @daylightsbynurin
      @daylightsbynurin 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      no, it's not important. it's easier to work it counter clockwise if you knit english style, but if you knit continental then clockwise is okay ☺️

      @daylightsbynurin @daylightsbynurin Thank you so much! So it is ok to continue knitting clockwise, right?

    • @daylightsbynurin
      @daylightsbynurin วันที่ผ่านมา

      hello, sorry I just tested it out and it turns out that there is a difference if you knit it clockwise or counterclockwise 😅 if you knit it normally but wrap the yarn clockwise, the stitch will end up being twisted. however, in this case, since we want our stitches to be twisted, we knit it through the back loop while wrapping the yarn counterclockwise. if you pair ktbl together with knitting a twisted stitch (ktbl + clockwise), I’m not sure how the stitch will end up looking (my guess is it might cancel each other out and form a normal stitch? but I’m not sure since I’ve never tried it out). sorry for the initial misinformation but I would recommend trying it out first on a small swatch to see if you like the final result before committing to a full scarf. otherwise, you could possibly knit normally but wrap the yarn clockwise for the same effect (I’m not 100% sure how this will look like so again I would recommend trying it out first before committing). if not, I would recommend practising knitting counterclockwise because doing the opposite seems like it would result in twisted stitches even if you knit a non-twisted item

      @@daylightsbynurin I guess I'm kinda getting confused on this. So in the video we should do ktbl + counter clockwise at 4:17. isn't it actually the correct form? cause you just said it might cancel each other somehow. and what i wanted to do is to do ktbl + clockwise. idk which one is going to look like the scarf you knitted 🥲 sorry i'm somehow a beginner in knitting, i ask lots of queestions.😅 but thanks for the replys.

    • @daylightsbynurin
      @daylightsbynurin 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      yes, ktbl + counterclockwise is the correct form. this will give you a normal twisted stitch. I meant that if you ktbl + clockwise, I think it might cancel each other out because they are both twisted stitches

    Hi! I decided to start making this cardigan and am using your videos and the lion brand pattern to make it. I have something to ask: on the pattern it says that the row you knit after 13 rows of ribbing should be on the right side of your work but I thought that the odd rows were your right side and the even ones were your wrong side. Am I wrong? Or is it just the pattern? If it’s the pattern will it make any difference to my work? Thank you!

    • @daylightsbynurin
      @daylightsbynurin หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, usually the odd rows are the RS and the even rows are the WS. but since the cardigan starts with the ribbing, the RS and WS don't really matter since ribbing is reversible. in the case of the pattern, they don't assume the RS/WS of the ribbing rows and only decide to establish the 14th row as the RS hence why it's an even row. it won't make a huge difference to your work as the ribbing will look the same on both sides ☺️
