    Thank you for this video! I currently am on my first baby and it’s been so so hard. I always wanted to have a big family but after this first kid I’ve been thinking about only have 2 kids now, so knowing that it probably won’t be as hard as it is now gives me hope.

    It could be much easier to just be prepared & buy a pack of those disposable incontinence underpants in a size or two bigger than you'd normally need. Guaranteed to not leak everywhere. It's possible to make them last longer using pads with them. There's usually about 10 in a pack so you get enough for a few days at least. I even used to use those for sleeping in when having a heavy period.

  • @elizabethc3842
    @elizabethc3842 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    They used to be made so there was a u shape so the diaper stayed below the cord. Now my son could pee right over the top of the diaper to aim exactly on the cord while simultaneously shooting poo out the top of the back of the diaper.... 🤨... the diaper would be all but clean and he needed a bath and his sleeper even had poop in the toes. Yeah, I switched to cloth diapers and we didn't have those issues anymore.

      That is absolutely correct for putting them to sleep! Back is safest. But when you are actively trying to calm them, putting them on their tummy while holding them or swaying like I was in short clip can help a lot and is perfectly safe.

    Elvie costumer service definitely does NOT replace parts with no questions asked. I wanted to order a usb cord because mine arrived without one. I noticed that they did not sell the cords online anywhere that sells elvie pumps, not even their own website. So I contacted elvie about my issue. I had to show them where I bought it and proof that I indeed bought the elvie. Even with that they told me because I didn’t buy the elvie pumps off their website they couldn’t provide me with a usb cord. So I argued with them about how are they going to allow other places sell their products and not allow us costumers to go to elvie for replacement parts just because we bought our stuff else where. I even told them I wasn’t trying to get a free charging cord, I was willing to pay for it. After all the back and forth, they finally decided to send me 2 cords for my elvie pumps. Also just a heads up for those of you who have elvie pumps, the regular elvie pumps will NOT charge with just any usb charging cord. I went through 4 usb cords that I found around the house just to charge my elvies before I found the ones that would charge them. That’s why I contacted elvie so I wouldn’t have to go digging and trying to figure out if the elvie pumps were broken or if the chargers were the correct ones.

    Soon to be mom of 4 as well. 0-1 was the hardest. 1-2 was pretty hard as well since they were super close on age. 2-3 was a breeze. We had a 3 and almost 5 year old and they were so helpful and excited about helping for the baby and being more independent so I can take care of him. Hoping for an easy time with #4, the youngest will be 2.5 but the older ones will be 5 and 7

      You aren’t being over dramatic or childish! (There’s no such thing in this corner of YT ❤). It might be hard to tell in video but he’s cradled against my body, so it feels very secure. And you can use your 2nd arm to support for additional stability (as opposed to the patting/rubbing his back as I did in video). The biggest issue I have with this hold is once baby grows and gets heavier, and my arms get tired! 😂 but personally it’s felt secure and has been very effective for comforting baby when fussy.

    • @mrs_annie_marie
      @mrs_annie_marie 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use a small cloth bag with a zipper that I then slide right into my normal purse - which is why I love the Elvie! Between pumping sessions I put everything into ziplock bag and into fridge. Nothing special!!

    I agree. Mom coming over who is going to help and isn't going to be off put by you whipping out them boobs isn't a regular visitor. If you plan on breastfeeding, make sure you feel good about stepping away into your bedroom to feed or being uncovered in front of those people because newborns want to be nursed around the clock.

    • @mrs_annie_marie
      @mrs_annie_marie 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes - agree with you 100% on all of this!! Definitely wish I would have been given this recommendation before having my first baby.
