Ahh! The Toyota Sunroof is leaking. Let’s fix it.
Our 2019 Highlander started leaking water from the headliner. Turns out the sunroof is designed to leak a little, and there is a drain pan to catch that water. But, when that doesn’t drain the water splashes out! Here’s how I fixed it…

Just replaced the seal (weatherstripping) for one of the portlights on my Com-pac 23 mk2. It is easy to replace the seal and stop your portlight from leaking. I still have 5 more to go, but now I know they won’t take very long. The seal part number is Perko 0461 or try searching for sku 42337
2nd Gen 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L - How *not* to remove the engine mount

Showing how I removed the engine mount on the driver's side... after I had already removed the leaking manifold (it was leaking). My video on the manifold is being edited and will be published soon. 2nd Gen 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L - OEM vs Dorman Exhaust Manifold and SAIS leak point
มุมมอง 2.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A video to show the difference between a Dorman aftermarket exhaust manifold vs OEM. Overall it seems pretty good. There’s just one LITTLE issue with it. I also show a common leak point of the Secondary Air Injection System (SAIS) on these manifolds - which is why I removed mine. The part number is 674711 (674-711).
UNBOXED! Garmin Airmar DST810 Smart Nema Thru-hull Transducer (Distance, Speed, Temperature)

What's in the DST810 box? This is the Garmin / Nema 2000 (n2k) version. It has a 5 pin Nema connector and likely works with B&G as well. It is not the raymarine version which would have a Seatalk connector. However, and adapter should allow compatibility there. It comes with the thru-hole, plug, gaskets, silicone lube, safety wire, manuals. It even has a special o-ring to retrofit into a thru-h...

did that work?
@@wavehomeinspection Yes. Sure did.
awesome vid. I got the compac 27II for man cave in my yard lol this ones not sailing yet
The 27 looks like a great boat. I personally don’t want one I cannot trailer, as they are easier to sell if trailerable for most people with a truck. Best of luck getting yours ship shape.
Can u do my motor mounts
Is this on a 4x4 or a 2WD? A mechanic told me there isnt enough space to do this method on a 4x4. Is it true?
@@TwoWheels47 it is 4x4. I just did the other side last weekend. Removed both of the top nuts and loosened transmission mount… jacked up (carefully) at oil pan and replaced passenger side without taking the engine-side bracket off.
@@point29 thanks 👍 I definitely need to do this. I was quoted ~2,000. Yikes, I'll give it a go first! Appreciate your video.
Simple enough but I dont have time to deal with buying new bolts of taking out other parts. Mechanic is quoting me 600$ for the whole job. Is this a good deal ?
Sorry for the late response. Better late than never…. Yes if it’s $600 including the motor mounts that sounds reasonable. Did you have them changed?
@point29 I decided to take em to a mechanic yes. Saved me a big headache and time
I'm about to replace mine myself. Shop is charging 13hrs worth of labor. Haynes manual tells you exactly just the way you did it. Thanks for the video.
I would try doing both so you can jack up the engine and not remove the block mount. Only need to lift about 1” to get the stud out.
Got it. I took notes on how not to do it. Lol. Thanks!
Hi, I just received my DST 810. I applied marine grease to the o-rings and was trying the fitting of the plug and transducer in the housing and it is so tight that I can barely remove them by hand. Did you experience the same? Are those easier to remove once the boat is in the water? Thanks.
Hello. I seem to recall they are fairly tight.
Im putting on jba shorty headers and 1 stud is fighting me in getting the E8 stud on it so the manifold can drop... 1 stud left
The beginning ....nice. 😊
😊 thanks
Did you remove the driver's side catback flange to the muffler, then push back on the muffler to separate the catback section, or did you need to loosen both left and right catback sections to get enough clearance to separate the driver's side catback section?
I've seen YT videos that show replacing the secondary air injection valve assembly (under the intake manifold) can break the flange welds if the SAI valve assembly is forcibly moved toward the drivers side so that the 2 flange bolts on the valve assembly right side can be installed.
If it does, it’s because the factory weld quality is poor. I have also replaced that valve and don’t remember needing to be forceful.
Did you notice any performance change after putting in the Dorman manifold; I see the ports on the OEM are larger that the Dorman, wondering if that could restrict the exhaust flow?
No, but I plan to replace the manifold with oem, because I failed to install thread lock and the bolts keep loosening. I didn’t quite get enough of that protrusion ground down on the Doorman and if I’m going to take it out again I will do the oem now that I can afford it. I will also update the video.
How did you remove the manifold after removing the manifold bolts and disconnecting it from the catalytic converter side? Space is too tight
Have some questions for you. So 3 hours for both sides? The dealer is quoting like 16 hours and over 3k . You were able to do all this through the wheel wells? You used the jack just to keep the engine in place ? The stake was just to keep it from moving to the side and what was that just like a piece of 2x4? Thks
Hi. No way that takes 16 hours. Do both sides at the same time and don’t take off the bracket.
Thanks for the video. i have to tear out my heads for a blown gasket and this helps with the exhaust manifolds side of things.
I just did the Secondary Air Injection Pump bypass and you have to put a block off plate on that port. Mine started leaking after from that exact location. Gonna have to replace the manifold now.
...yup, had the identical thing happen...
What kind of noise and what problems that can cause to the car!!
It was a loud ticking noise.
@@point29 Did it happen immediately or after idling for a while? wondering if that's my issue because my sais line snapped off the exhaust
@@saintchris94 You should be able to see it by removing the rubber flap. In my case it seemed to be a slow progression over a few thousand miles.
@@point29 well so far all Ive tried is using aluminum tape on the tube lol Im wondering if i just do SAIS bypass i can just cap off the line and tear the rest of the SAIS out
Was the ticking noise only when accelerating, not at idle rest?@@point29
What size are the nuts sir??
They are either 10 mm or 12 mm.
I would've bought an OEM gasket instead of that polkadot one. That gasket style is known to blow out.
Yes. OEM would be better for sure.
How many motor mounts are on a tundra
Pretty sure there are two- plus the transmission mount.
Always an 07, I have had two 07s and they keep you busy.
Good job ! why did you replace both manifold and Gasket ? Why just replace the gasket ?
the manifold was leaking not the gasket.
How’s it holding up? Thinking about purchasing. Thanks!
I would maybe look for alternatives to avoid the trimming. I have only put a few miles on it as I don’t drive it much, but seems to be fine. I would also recommend using oem gasket and some medium loctite on the stud nuts.
I’m pretty sure my engine mounts are bad on my 2010. Started my truck one day and the fan hit the radiator and blew a hole in it. I’m scared to death of replacing these mounts. I have terrible luck lol. This is the first video or anything at all with any info on these engine mounts that I’ve found so thank you for your video!!
Your welcome. That’s why I made it. I think if you disconnect both sides it will jack up and be pretty easy (not requiring to remove the part from the block) and they should come off fairly easy. Good luck.
@@point29 thanks so much!
Was your tundra making a terrible ticking sound like mine?
Yes, it sure was making very loud ticking sound.
@@point29did u smell fumes from the driver wheel well?
