It's not non touching, I trained in Usui Reiki (original method) 20 + years ago, it is touching unless the client specifies otherwise, then you raise your hands 2 inches. Or you can sit on the other side of the room and beam reiki ( with the distant symbol ). I allways hold the feet, it's not weird, just ask if they are ticklish. Holding the feet give a lovely feeling of grounding. The client draws the energy they need, so essentially they are in control. If you are saying the reiki prayer and connecting to your Reiki guides and grounding and protecting yourself you shouldn't feel yucky or drained.

Hmm. Traditionally Reiki is considered a form of “hands on” healing. If you practice not touching people because of legal concern or something, that is totally fine, but it doesn’t mean that that is how all Reiki is and has been. Many people are starved of physical touch and this can be an important part of their healing in and of itself.

This is such great information! I hope to become a Reiki practitioner soon and want to have a serious practice, helping as many people as I can. I love that you have given us some real information that will help in our business.

I’ve taken reiki 1 and I’ve worked on a total of 5 people, my last one had bad back pain, after I started I continued to be uncomfortable thought the session and ended up with all her back pain for 2 days, even tho I washed with cold water and showered, what would you recommend to stop this transference of pain?

When it’s good holy wood , I see the essential oil’s bubble while it’s burning, ( Triloka ) is a genuine polo santo wood, There are counterfeits out there , I hear in South America it’s becoming over harvest, so to all you souls out there that understand why we smudge . Respect this wood and know your source. To make sure u are getting it from a source that’s not hurting the harvesting process and Authenticity
