Wall of Sound TH-cam channel launched the first video in April 2019.The channel creates detailed reviews of guitar and bass effect pedals. The different pedal control settings are checked out, while playing guitar or bass, to give a full impression of how the pedal can sound like and what it can do. In some of the videos, the effect pedal are combined with another pedal to emphasize the effect. For example adding an overdrive pedal to a phaser or delay pedal. If you're interested in a specific type of effect or brand, check out the playlist section.

a video in mono about this pedal is not very usefull ;/
Well although it's not in stereo, you should still be able to hear how it sounds, compared to other delay pedals :-)
it's a Pan Delay ! Compared to other delay pedals... Left > Right > B-)
@@bbburito No you're not right - left is right ;-)
@@WallofSoundDK:-v
I’ve got about 15 overdrive pedals, but I’m still looking for the “Ultimate”. This ain’t it. 😉
My favorites are Xotic BB Preamp and EMMA Stinkbug (both on the channel) ;-)
Was it too much work to rotate your camera enough so that we could see what knobs you're turning? Taking care of little things shows a big attitude.
It's rotated all the way, that's why I describe the knobs in the intro, guess you missed that - noticing the little things shows great insight ;-)
I've got this pedal. Couldn't get a sound i was happy with until I dialed bass and treble to max as my starting point then dial back to taste. It's clicked since taking this approach and has been on the board since
I own this pedal and really like it for how you're able to avoid thinning or dulling the sound as much as with traditional overdrives, and for how you can even dial it into a harsh treble boosted sound. Reportedly it's an affordable clone of the BB Preamp.
It colors your sound :)
Not for me sorry EHX
I've had this pedal for many years get pedal.
Should be call classic fizz 🥴
I had one, sold it recently . Never liked it. It was sort of fizzy
Guess it's a love it or hate it pedal
This pedal is making my sound so low in volume. Do you know if there is anything I can do to prevent that from happening?
maybe add a booster or try different reverb pedal
maybe a buffer would help. I will try
This pedal can do great things on a Marshall valve amp, but you have to dial it in.
DML20 III next!
Love to do a video if I can find one, they're pretty rare.
sweet - Never heard of this pedal before. Has a nice Brian May sweep to it. Thanks for the post
You're welcome - I posted a very similar one two days ago, might wanna check that one too ;-)
I have this
Did you know about the adjustment screwhole in the battery compartment?
@@WallofSoundDK what does it mean and how to set it up ? Thank you in advance ❤
@@marinlisac2933 @marinlisac2933 You can adjust the Repeat-lenght - I show it in the video :-)
Thanks for the video. 🎸👍
You're welcome - thanks for stoppin' by the channel :-) Mikkel, Wall of Sound
Very bad sound. I was embarrassed amd disappointed in my rehearsal with that mosquito dirty noise pedal . Ibanez is just not in pedals. I returned it immediately and got a good old Boss dual overdrive.
Just got a Boss Dual OD yesterday, will be featured on the channel in near future ;-)
(Think it's the only one of the yellow od's I haven't done a video about yet)
Led no work? It is 12V
You might be right, forgot to think about that when I recorded the video - sounds good on 9v though :-)
Doesn't sound particularly good.
Is it true that there is no place to put a battery in it ??
No, you place battery under footswitch - like Boss pedals :-)
Damn this demo demotes this pedal weak and thin
Damn this comment is constructive
Other TH-cam gear demonstrators should take lessons from you. I can’t count how many delay pedal demos I’ve seen where the person never stops noodling over the echos, so you can’t hear the quality of the repeats.
Thanks man 🙂
super merci pour la demo
Merci :-)
👏👏
When were this series’ pedals made at? I’m in China and I can’t find information in our internet.
Made in china - nice pedals in this series!
Hi bro. I Heard that SD1 is more for Humbuckers and TS is more for Single coils. Do You think it would fit to single coils as well?
Hey bro, I have reviewed three versions of the SD-1 here on the channel - all done, using my single coil Strat. And I think i sounds really nice. Playing my humbucker LP I would actally prefer the TS - but both would work on both types I would say :-)
@WallofSoundDK thanks so much!
@@aristidesvillegas7167 You're welcome :-)
Is it based on the fz7?
I'm pretty sure that it is a mini version of an 70's or 80's fuzz that came out before the FZ7 so it might actually be the other way around :-)
Do you think this pedal would work with vocals?
Could work, not sure though - would guess 70% chance of it working with vocals
@ I might have a defective used product. Gonna test with a friend.
I have one but have no idea where I got it. Haven't used it in 20 plus years. now I might. Thanks!
You're welcome, hope you find it - it's a nice pedal and very fun to play :-)
Wow sounds like shit
A brilliant pedal. I had the digitech PDS 1700, the CF-7 is just as good. This pedal is a Madman! The footswitch is very frail, however. Try not to knock it around too much and keep it clean. The knobs sit on a separate board. I adore my CF-7, so I keep it in a sandwich baggie.
Heard about the tonelok series fragile footswitches, haen't had a faulty on yet though (have done videos on most of the tonelok series here on the channel) :-)
I love my retrosonic flanger, but I dont dig this at all, sounds more like a fuzz
It's based on the original Proco RAT
Un fraude
Strange comment - what do you mean?
that sounds every bit as good as the original japan models. what era is this?
I agree, it's one of the newer MIT models
5:43 sounded like he was about to play come as you are
I probably was ;-)
You may use cab sim for better sound .
ok, thanks for info, prefer mic though
Bought one for 30 bucks years ago. Its one of the only pedals ive never thought about selling. I absolutely love it. Has trim pots inside so you can tweak it if you want. It sounds great
worst pedal ever to be honest
this pedal, was a secret weapon of a very very famous bassist ,,everyone thought he used the red one ,,wich i guess is the jhs 2 ??? ,,but i ran on stage 2 times and saw for my self ...winninig!!!
Nice :-)
Hello, mine has the same voice but is more round, yours is a lot more crispy also at low volumes. Why this difference? Thank you😊
Not sure, but there's both a version 1 and 2 and not sure wich one mine is, and I don't have it any longer...
Hmmm. You didn't get one good sound out of it! I used to gig with this pedal in the early to mid 80's and always got a great punk/metal sound...
Well I tried, did you also use a Strat and a solid state amp? :-)
@@WallofSoundDK I should have said 'Good 'metal' sound...'
The name Brown Acid makes me think it’s gonna be dirty and messed up and maybe a little scary, but I don’t hear that. Pretty smooth really. ✌🏻
So classic dude!, thank you for the video !
You're welcome :-)
Pretty sure it uses PNP Germanium transistors :-)
Name a more iconic duo, high gain distortion pedals and blues riffs
Channel called “wall of sound”? I subbed.
he Hot Head is a clone of the DS1 with separate bass and treble controls
I got this pedal recently used for $30. I didn’t know what to expect… and it’s pretty sweet. It reminds me of a boss sd-1. It has germanium diodes inside. Sometimes I find it lacks a little high end but with a tiny treble bump on the amp I regain the clarity. We’re talking practically nothing. No playing with your amp for hours to get a good tone. Also it’s very red
This pedal actually suprised me, souds really good...
do you use is as more of an overdrive or into a clean amp?
@@matt926uk1 in the video it goes into a clean amp, but you can also use it with an overdriven amp. If you're using single coils, expect some noise as well as lots of gain!
Merci !
