what keyboard are you playing this on?
Hi, Hector! I play on a Roland FA-07 with a modified tone, but the sound is recorded only with my phone. I recreated the patch after a tone I made on Roland XP-50 about 30 years ago and which sounded better, I used XP-50 (based on the JV-1080 module) at extreme for 25 years.... miss her :)... 🙏

sa inteleg ca asa de bine stiai sa canti la chitara in 1996?
Buna Andrei. Piesa este compusa in 96 si era exclusiv pentru trompeta si pian, un swing lent. Facusem si o versiune cu un ritm mai modern si care ii placea mult lui Razvan. Razvan canta si la trompeta si mi-a atras atentia ca am iesit din ambitus, ca nu o poate canta la trompeta. Versiunea aceasta cu chitara este facuta acum, ian 2017, in memoria bunului nostru prieten ce ne-a parasit si respecta linia melodica initiala cu exceptia unei interventii la chitara ... mai rapide. Am strecurat si trompeta asa cum era ea lucrata in 96. Merci de vizita.

Banuiesc ca te referi la pasajul acela rapid. Este cantat pe claviatura caci nu am ajuns niciodata la nivelul atins de tine la chitara. Acolo imi gandesc mai toate piesele. Destul de rar inregistrez chitara fiindca nu am decat doua chitari, o acustica si o semiacustica (nu am efecte de chitara). Chiar daca multe teme se nasc pe chitara prefer sa ma folosesc de claviaturi. Mai am un bass. Si o clavieta Hohner. Un pian. Un bouzouki irlandez. Fluierase. Cant la ele si le strecor in inregistrari. Inregistrez chiar si percutii din te miri ce. Totusi, nu mi-am dorit niciodata sa ajung instrumentist sau interpret. Ci doar sa-mi pun ideile in practica, sa incerc sa compun, sa scriu muzica. Sper sa reusesc in cele din urma.
as fi putut sa jur ca aia e o chitara...suna grozav de bine. Ma uimesti de fiecare data :)
... gandesc ca un chitarist cred ... cand m-am apucat de muzica, singurel, mi-a fost interzis cantatul la pian, asa ca tot ce imi doream sa cant la pian scoteam pe o chitara, o perioada am cantat extrem de mult la chitara pana sa imi permit o claviatura. Tonul chitarii ... este o mare bataie de cap pentru mine, ma bucur daca sunetul chitarii este apropiat de cel natural. Sau daca interpretarea, dificil altfel de realizat la o claviatura, ti-a atras atentia. Am stat totusi aproape 30 de ani cu nasul in claviaturi si efecte. Compui si tu muzica grozava ... banuiesc ca te lovesti adesea de astfel de probleme. Spor, inspiratie Andrei!
