I met one of the folks that worked on this in a 2fort lobby earlier tonight. Super nice, they let me get a screenshot with their Saxxy. There was one guy there who it legit seemed to have made his day. Good film and it lead to a small wholesome moment in a dark world, so thats nice.

here's a question for you: was the son suicidal and potentially pulled up before he crashed because he felt like his dad wouldn't want him to reunite with him so soon or did he nearly crash by accident but miraculously saved himself at the last moment? it kinda looks like he thought about deliberately crashing but, symbolically, his dad saved him from those thoughts, like he was saying 'we'll meet again someday, but not today.'

Seeing the scene with Scout pitching down, ready to crash as the flashbacks of his father’s death play now hit me harder than ever. Only recently, my parents returned from a week in Italy with friends. On the return flight, my father’s thyroid gland began acting up, which made him feel terrible. It got to where he was almost entirely incapable of responding as the hypothyroid attack hit, and emergency services had to be dispatched fast and rush him to ER. A few days later, he returned home, and told me that in that moment, he was arguably the most terrified he’d ever been, as he was unaware of if he’d survive that. To see the man who’s served as the unfaltering anchor in many of our lives, one who seems to know where to go admit that he was unsure and afraid was terrifying.

It was happy ending that makes me crying my grandpa and grandma Ayers dying, But I went to church and pray and I should never forgive you. ❤
