The Echoes of Hickory: Live Gospel (1976)
มุมมอง 49910 หลายเดือนก่อน
Recorded live just outside of Hickory, NC at Fred T. Foard High School in 1976. The members of The Echoes were Jim Bradley (tenor), Buddy Whitener (lead), Harold Whitener (baritone), Harry Mull (bass). Buddy and Harold were brothers. Buddy's wife, Mildred played piano and his son, Greg was on bass. The LP from which this presentation was made isn't flawless; it was played many time over the years.
Good to hear these older recordings
Thank you!
Jim Bradley was a member of East Marion Baptist Church Marion NC. Jim sang many solos for the congregation.
Have you jdsumner with the Statements in dec 1980
Unfortunately, I don't have that one. I don't have a lot of southern gospel in my library and what little I have is mostly local artists.
@@smokeybear20252 have you rare live shows of jd sumner
@@elvis1988ful , I have one from back in the 80s that was recorded live at the Joyful Noise Supper Club. I'll try to concert and upload it after I get these Echoes recordings sorted out. Hopefully, TH-cam will let me do it; they go a little overboard with copyright restrictions so we'll see.
@@smokeybear20252 with the masters v ???
@@smokeybear20252 with the masters v is on yotube and i have it
This is absolutely awesome. Thank you for posting. I'd love to hear more from the Echoes if you have any. They had a few more Live recordings I'd love to hear
I just finished digitally converting all of the Echoes material I have. I'm aware of at least one more live recording. I'm not sure of the issued format but I believe it's something other than vinyl. They recorded two projects as a trio and I have one of them converted. If I can get the other, I'll add it as well. The songs will likely be uploaded individually. I did this one as a single unit to keep the live atmosphere. There are probably 75 songs ready to upload now. Life has gotten extremely busy but I'll be adding them a little at a time. Thanks for your interest. It's good to see there's still an appreciation for local amateur entertainers.
