The first time I played the Sims 1, I don't think I had been playing 10 minutes when the wife went up in flames while cooking lunch. Her husband soon followed. And the first time I played Sims 2 I had my sim watch clouds and about 10 seconds he was killed by a falling satellite. No mercy in these games. lol

the first set sorta reminds me of stuff from the magic pack in the sims 4.... it's kinda hobbitcore

Thank you for sharing your new hood, Calvin. I downloaded and I look forward to exploring it myself. All the lots look very interesting. The Balinese lot is so cool with a different building for each purpose. There is nothing like that where I live with very cold winters and snow. The alleys are some of my favorite neighborhood objects. They add a lot of atmosphere and are great for filling in space in more city-like areas. Oh, and I appreciate that you didn't use custom content.

Unfortunately, you never played this game. Your sims will be stuck after eating a meal , not a good idea to place the chair so close to the wall with no way out

Was coming to check on a fish, and not sure if it is a new fish or not but seem to be missing Cod in your guide. Aside from that I have been recommending this video to people on the discord if they ask about fish, because in all I have found it a fairly comprehensive guide.

Hello, Calvin. I enjoyed this build. When you play this lot, I suppose you'll lock the upstairs door on the balcony into the living quarters to prevent customers from going there, but how will you keep customers from using the spiral staircase to get into the living quarters?

I really like how you hid the apartment life doors with the little foyers with those pretty Asian doors. The units look nice and cozy. I mostly like to have an open common yard with stuff all the tenants can use and socialize with each other on apartment lots.

Your builds are awesome, what sims 2 release are you using? I figured I could pick it up off of gog but its not there and the releases on myabandonware seem to have a lot of people having problems with versions.

A lot of of pics I see of 80s interiors are usually quite soft with pastel colours and chintz pattern, southwestern theme, lots of house plants, mirrored wardrobes; like in lots of 80s movies

How fun that the Sims 1 was recreated for Sims 2! My sims practically lived at Solana Towne Center. I'd put a coffee counter someplace so my sims could chug enough coffee to up their energy while they made friends. I'd also put a steam bath in each bathroom to keep up hygiene. My sim could spend days there, chatting up townies and dining with them till friendship was achieved. Rinse and repeat till my sim had all the friends needed for a promotion. I loved the Sims 1 Downtown lots, except for Wrenday's. I always thought that lot was stupid. LOL I'd put a coffee counter and steam baths on each lot so my sims could stay longer.
