Streamer Fishing
I mentioned in the High Water video (shorts) description that I love fishing runoff. This video demonstrates why I'm always chomping at the bit for that snow melt to come rushing down river. The fish have limited areas to stage and travel. It also makes them strike whatever comes within their space more willingly. No time to think about it, just chomp!
The thumbnail picture is not the fish from the video. I just liked the shot of the streamer hanging out that lip. The streamer I was fishing, was a single hook little buck tail pattern. Olive buck on top and white buck on the bottom with a baitfish fish skull. Nothing big or fancy, just a great small fly to dive into those smaller pockets. I did like 2 or 3 sections of stacked bucktail on the hook shank so the water collapses the hair down.
I love throwing big flies but for pocket water, the small flies with a weighted head (fish skull or whatever you prefer) work well. Especially where weighted lines are just overkill for the smaller water, weighted heads do the job. I want that fly to dive in immediately. You don't have much time to sell that fly to the fish, in those smaller pockets. So the sooner you can sell it, the better!

Early Subaru Vacuum Lines
มุมมอง 457 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
If you are here....I feel your pain and I am praying for you! This is not supposed to be a fun or entertaining video. My goal is to hopefully help whoever might be looking at a rat's nest of an engine bay. Doing this video actually helped me a lot, too. I learned more about the Brat and also a ton about editing. It might not be the best identification of all the hoses, but it should be a dang g...
Smallmouth Bass Topwater
มุมมอง 519 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Smallmouth Bass fly-fishing on the Potomac River. I was only about 10 miles upriver from Washington D.C. This part of the river was very productive before it was flooded out. After the extreme flooding, it just never fished the same. I will return one of these days... This day was dreadfully slow. I mention in the video I was fishing for 3 hours before catching this fish (the only fish of the d...
Subaru Brat Gas Tank
มุมมอง 3114 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
One of the first things I remember when seeing the Brat in person was the smell. That distinctive bad gas smell (hard to miss). The original owner said the Brat had been sitting for "awhile". He said the gas line that comes into the cab of the truck (this is a truck, don't you forget that!) and feeds out to the fuel pump under the bed, was leaking. Well, the leaking gas line would be least of m...
Mustang Frame & Trunk Repair
มุมมอง 516 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
When I first started to restore the Mustang, I started in the back. I liked how I approached it because the repairs in the back gave me great practice for what I would encounter, as I moved forward. With very little welding experience, this was a great move. Things would get more complex as I progressed forward. Before you start ripping out material, do a thorough inspection. What saved me a lo...
Montana Winter Fly Fishing Pt 2
มุมมอง 6319 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This should have been the first video I posted from the winter trip. Even though it is part 2, it was our first day on the river, of the trip. Day 1 was brutal because, instead of having easy access to the river, we had 5' of snow to get through. We exhausted a lot of energy to get ourselves to the river that day. We slept pretty good that night! Whenever I come back to the Madison, day 1 is us...

Rebirth

I'm still kicking myself for accidentally breaking one of my SD cards. The one that broke was loaded with my Mustang restoration. Luckily, I have quite a bit of content on my external hard drives. I will post what I have as I go through them. I have that broken SD card tucked away. Maybe one day in the future, I can get it fixed. Very few people do this repair and it's very expensive. A good bu...
Montana Winter Fly Fishing
มุมมอง 559วันที่ผ่านมา
The Madison River in Montana is difficult as is. Add in freezing temperatures, 5ft of snow and you got yourself a recipe for a real challenging time. The hardest part of the trip was trying to get in the river! In this video, we were lucky enough to follow a path already made. The previous days we had to be mavericks and blaze our own path. Every step you would fall in, dang near to neck deep. ...
Friends at The Yard
มุมมอง 23วันที่ผ่านมา
Junkyards are an interesting place. It's a place where cars go to rot away and slowly erode with their memories. It is sad passing cars and wondering what memories they each hold. What stories could they tell? This GL might be rotting away but it gave the Brat a second chance at life. Junkyards might be the death to cars, but they keep the hobby alive and create new memories. Get dirty and supp...
Friends at The Yard Pt 2
มุมมอง 27วันที่ผ่านมา
Finishing up the first of many trips to the yard. Scored some very important parts, that are extremely hard to come by. I needed a gas tank (I got it for free because it did have pin holes. It would be much worse than I thought...) and a rear beam, badly! Luckily, the beam had drums, stub shafts and structural integrity. One of many trips and I was glad my friend Josh was there to lend a hand. ...
Time to Get Down and Dirty
มุมมอง 66514 วันที่ผ่านมา
The time had come...start rolling in the: dirt, bugs, poison ivy and whatever hazardous material or life form that exists in the junkyard. There was a wild pig there recently. Darn thing looked like babe. Just a harmless cute junkyard piggy, roaming around. The piggy was definitely the safest thing I have encountered there. I didn't run into any snakes, thank goodness! Wasps, hornets, spiders, ...
Junkyard Brats
มุมมอง 1.7K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Getting acquainted with my local junkyard and the Brats he has. When I walked into his shop/office I asked if he had Brats and without hesitation, he said he had a couple. I had no idea that Brat parts are extremely scarce and not readily available. I got very lucky when I bought mine because I did not know this critical factor. It all worked out in the end but before you dive into a project, t...

1966 Mustang Cross Country Roadtrip Pulling a Camper
love the video bro
Thanks so much! That trip was so dang cold. I'm still learning about editing videos, so the kind words mean a lot. Thanks for the motivation!
@@whatareyouwadingfor of course bro. editing looks good, keep it up

Love that design, too!
fix up a Brat..
Can I pull a teardrop trailer with myc66 mustang with a v8 302
Sorry for the delay, I wasn't seeing my notifications. I have that resolved now. My opinion, yes but check the integrity of your frame/body. I have upgraded leaf springs and Bilstein shocks all around as well. I restored my Mustang, so the frame rails are strong. I had to build my own tow hitch receiver, and I built it with 3/16" steel plate and 1/4' steel tubing. Good luck!
What state are you starting from
So sorry for the delay! I wasn't seeing my notifications. I have that resolved now. I started in Virginia and drove to Utah. I was planning on going to California, but my nerves were shot so I enjoyed some time fishing in Utah/Montana. Then headed south to Dallas, Texas. Stopped in New Orleans and then visited Myrtle Beach, SC for a few hours before heading home to Katies Cars and Coffee in Great Falls, Va
I've caught some nice browns at 2nd dam. They get hooked and immediately go airborne. Nice trout though for the river section...
Awesome! The Logan is a very productive and fun river. I think it is under appreciated but I'm glad you are enjoying it! If you get a chance, check out the upper section...there are some sluggers up there. Sorry for the delayed response, I wasn't seeing my notifications.

Nice work Matty!
thanks my man!
Proud of you buddy!
You are the man Terry! Thanks for having my back. Hope you and your son are doing some fishing :)
Idk youtube put this on my page but i'm glad it did keep up the good work
Thank you for the kind words! Sorry for the delay...SD card got a hairline fracture, looking to get that fixed at some point. Will start uploading other content in the meantime. Still learning editing. Better videos are coming!
