Yes pandering and is pushing an agenda I just after seeing that new uncanny Avengers no lol. Its sad what did they have to take the characters that everybody knows and loves and instead of character driven we get this nonsense

For me it's always been about the writers I like Rick remender like Ed Brubaker Jonathan Hickman Scott Snyder Geoff Johns Gail Simone has written some good stuff but I haven't bought much in 2023 but I haven't really got into much new stuff this year as a matter of fact I'm going back into old stuff Frank Miller and Alan Moore I wish I read most of their stuff already but you can still find some stuff here and there I'm going back and looking at some stuff that Brian Michael Bendis wrote like torso and Jinx he wrote those for image Marvel being owned by Disney I think that there's been a lot of hurt on it but Donny Cates has been surprising to me I mean he did the king in black and I think whenever they do a big event like that they end up getting a little bit rushed on it play Rush the big part of it where the lead in is always a little bit better we're Venom was solid his 12 issue arc on the Hulk what's pretty good matter fact I thought it was awesome and what he did with Thor I love that but now they're moving more into this social justice Warrior type mode their neglecting their characters entirely so I'm only sticking to the riders that I know and the ones in Indie comics. Disney has laid down this path forward that they said weather going to be more focused on the issues than Prophet which means that they're going to neglect the fan and the stories old enough to remember in the mid-90s when they sacrificed all of the story substance for Style and it almost bankrupted Comics at that time. What this is my first time coming across your analysis and I appreciate it I'm always glad to see people still reading you know as a fan I want Comics to survive so much now everybody's moving to Omnibus Editions find the prices are getting ridiculous there was a time when I spent about $200 a week on just whatever knew was coming out and I would always get some trade paperbacks every week too and that's been a long time ago now but that's disappeared

I read book 1 and 2 and I have no idea what the story is about. It’s all over the place. My brain was hurting the first time and I fell asleep the second time. I tried to give it a chance a third time and I finished it and still didn’t know what I read after two books. Artwork and colors are beautiful to look at, each character looked distinct but it has no real story. Kenneth had a good hook with the dragons but it got lost in the mess of different plot lines and character introductions. What is Groken actually about? Who is Groken? Who are all the characters and what purpose do they serve? They are introduced but I know nothing about them after reading. A good editor would have been nice to lay the foundation of the story for Kenneth to follow.

Nice review. I’ve read both graphic novels one and two, and I would give the story a 10.
